Luci found a Black Cat Bash flyer and thought she was invited.

Unfortunately for Luci, puppies and kittens will have to sit this one out. But that doesnt mean they wont benefit from it!

Proceeds from the Black Cat Bash support The Infinity Project and our work helping pets and their families throughout Southern Illinois, including our pet food pantry and emergency assistance programs.

So while Luci cant come party with us, you can!

Our Pet Food Pantry Program has always been a bit of a trial and error process. We are constantly looking at what is working, what is not, and how we can make the program work best for both our community and our nonprofit.

Over the past month, it became clear that the way our pantries were operating was not sustainable and was not allowing us to help as many families as we would like. With limited food and limited nonprofit funds, we needed to make some changes.

Our Pet Food Pantries are now application-based and will remain locked. Anyone needing assistance will first need to complete an application through our website. Once approved, you will receive instructions for accessing the pantry and picking up your food.

We understand that some people may be disappointed by this change, while others may feel it is a better system. Our goal is not to make receiving assistance more difficult. We are simply trying to make sure the food available is being distributed to as many families and pets in need as possible, while keeping the program sustainable with the resources we have.

Please do not visit a pantry before you have been approved and received your pickup instructions. The businesses and organizations where our pantries are located are generously allowing us to use their space, but they do not operate the pantries and will not have information about applications, approvals, or access. Please direct all questions to The Infinity Project.

Applications and monetary donations can be made through our website:
theinfinityprojectnfp.org

We are also always grateful for physical donations of dog and cat food. Since the pantries are now locked, physical donations will need to be picked up by one of our volunteers or dropped off directly with a member of our team. Message us and we’ll be happy to coordinate!

Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared our program, volunteered, hosted a pantry, or helped us figure out how to make this resource better. We are learning as we go, and every change we make is with the goal of helping this program reach more pets and families throughout Southern Illinois.

We have something exciting coming this October!

We are still finalizing all of the details (more on that soon) but in the meantime, we are starting to collect items for a silent auction that will be held during the event.

We are looking for local businesses, artists, makers, service providers, or community members who may be interested in donating!

Donations could include:
🎁 Gift cards or gift certificates
🧺 Gift baskets
💅 Services (nails, hair, massage, tattoos, grooming, photography, etc.)
🍽️ Restaurant certificates
🎟️ Experiences or admission passes
🛍️ Products or merchandise
🐾 Pet related items or services
✨ Or anything else that would make a fun silent auction item!

If you own a business, provide a service, make something, or just have a connection to someone who might be interested in donating, we would love to hear from you!

All proceeds from the silent auction will benefit The Infinity Project and help us continue our programs supporting people and pets throughout Southern Illinois.

Interested in donating or know someone we should reach out to? Send our page a message or tag them below!

The Infinity Project has a busy couple of months coming up, and we would love to have some extra hands! Whether you want to volunteer one time, once in a while, or regularly, we would love to have you.

We’re currently looking for volunteers for:

🍂 Mum & Market Day — September 5 | 9 AM–4 PM
🐾 Pet Fest — September 19 | 10 AM–3 PM

More volunteer opportunities may be added throughout the next couple of months!

💬 Want to help? Join our volunteer group chat! Once you’re in, head to the Events section where you can see upcoming opportunities.

You do not have to commit to every event or become a regular volunteer. Even helping us for one event makes a difference.

And if you cant make any of the dates currently listed but would like to volunteer in the future, please still join the group! That’s where we will continue posting new opportunities as they come up.

🚨 URGENT 🚨

HOWARD NEEDS OUR HELP BY 8 A.M.

Howard is an 11 week old old Boxer mix fighting parvo. After more than a week of treatment, he is now severely anemic and needs a blood transfusion, with a possible plasma transfusion.

His estimated veterinary bill is $4,100, and we would love to raise the full amount. However, if we can raise $1,600 by 8 a.m., Howard can begin receiving the care he desperately needs and his family can set up a payment plan for the remaining balance.

$1,600 by 8 a.m. is our immediate goal.
$4,100 is our total goal.

Donations can be made through The Infinity Project’s donation link https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/QZPTVQJLZRJ3W

To donate directly to the veterinary hospital, please message us for the account information.

Howard cannot wait. Please donate or share.

Due to recent issues, both our Marion and Carbondale Pet Food Pantries are temporarily unavailable while we work to relocate them to indoor, supervised locations.

Once new locations are secured and the pantries are ready to reopen, we will share updated locations and hours.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we make these changes to help ensure these resources remain available for those who truly need them.
