The 11 Resources are important building blocks for creating stability. We want to hear from you about which resources make the biggest difference and where people face the biggest barriers.
There are no right or wrong answers. Your answers will help us better understand the needs, strengths, and priorities of our community.
Which resource do you think is MOST important for creating or maintaining stability? Why?
Please choose ONE.

Financial – Having enough money to meet your needs and knowing how to manage it.
Emotional – Having emotional well-being and the ability to manage difficult feelings, stress, and challenges.
Cognitive – Being able to think clearly, solve problems, learn new skills, and apply knowledge.
Physical – Having a healthy body and the ability to participate in everyday activities.
Social Capital – Having relationships, connections, and networks that provide support, opportunities, information, and resources.
Relationships/Role Models – Having positive relationships and people you can look up to, learn from, and grow with.
Knowledge of Hidden Rules – Understanding the unspoken rules and expectations that can help us navigate different people, places, and situations.
Language – Being able to communicate clearly and effectively through speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
Integrity/Trust – Being dependable, following through on commitments, doing what we believe is right, and building trust with others.
Motivation – Having the drive and determination to keep working toward goals, even when facing challenges or setbacks.
Spiritual – Having a sense of purpose, hope, faith, or connection to something greater than yourself that provides strength and meaning.

Staying Ahead, our program for continuous resource building, is being held Wednesday, August 26th at 1PM. Back by popular demand, our Program Director, Michelle Ryman-Lillie, will be presenting about Hidden Rules.
Have you ever felt like there are “unspoken rules” everyone else seems to know—but no one ever explained to you?
These are called Hidden Rules—the unwritten expectations that guide how we navigate work, school, relationships, and everyday life. They can look different depending on the environment you’re in, and not knowing them can sometimes create barriers that have nothing to do with your ability or effort.
Examples of Hidden Rules:
At work: Communication styles, punctuality expectations, or how to ask for help
In professional settings: Dress norms, body language, or networking etiquette
In different communities: Values around time, money, and relationships
The key isn’t to judge these rules—but to recognize them, learn them, and choose how to respond.
When we make Hidden Rules visible, we create more understanding, more opportunity, and stronger communities.
This class is open to the public. To confirm your spot or ask any questions, call us at 740-223-2999 or email us at [email protected].
