Daily Bread Kitchen

Daily Bread Kitchen In 2010 Daily Bread Kitchen, a non-profit soup kitchen, was started to eliminate hunger in Washington County, Ohio.

We have fed over 90,000 nutritious lunches to men, women, and children who are in need of food.

01/31/2025

January 19, 2025, was the 14th Anniversary of the Daily Bread Kitchen. It was introduced by the Health Ministry of the Basilica of St Mary of the Assumption and today it has become a community service for the less fortunate. The total number of meals served is staggering: conservatively, 127,000. Many hands, many skills, many hours, and generous donations have made this possible. Volunteers are essential to continue this work. Please consider becoming a part of this effort. With many heartfelt thanks to all who have contributed, the real thanks go to God.

“Be happy when God answers your prayers but be more thankful when God makes you the answers to someone else’s prayers.”

Daily Bread Kitchen

Daily Bread Kitchen is a, 501©(3) non-profit soup kitchen located at 312 Franklin Street, Marietta, Ohio. We offer a Free Meal every Wednesday from 11:30 to 1:00 (doors are open at 10:30 for coffee) serving over 200 nutritious meals each week, as well as meals for home consumption, some in an emergency situation.

Our support is the over 100 volunteers from the community who help with meal preparation, serving meals, and general clean up as well as their ability as a group to provide a very necessary, basic need in the community.

We also have a program providing winter coats in the fall, toiletries and items of a personal nature, children back to school, Christmas boxes of joy for the children, and a holiday gift.

The soup kitchen is housed in the Knights of Columbus building on the westside of Marietta. We are “no questions asked” and do not judge those who come in for a meal.
