Check out the good news coming from the MMLB meeting yesterday! Now would be a great time to electrify and possibly save money this winter. Book a free Energy Coach visit to explore your options!

⚡ Lower electric bills this winter — and a step toward becoming a Green Community.

The Marblehead Light Board has approved a winter rate discount that could save residential customers $32 to $135, with the biggest savings going to households that use more electricity.

The board also voted to join a state renewable energy fund, clearing a key hurdle in Marblehead’s effort to become a Green Community — a designation that could unlock state grants for energy-efficiency and clean-energy projects.

A public hearing on the changes is tentatively set for Oct. 14 at 6 p.m.

Read more about what the votes could mean for your electric bill — and the town. 👇Link to story is in comments.

Thank you Vienna Teng for leading an inspiring Climate Action Workshop prior to her incredible performance at Me & Thee Music. All attendees left with several new ideas of do-able actions that fit their interests. Thank you Vienna and Bob, and Anthony and Robin from Me&Thee, as well as the Unitarian Church for the space. What a great collaboration this was! Hope to do it again next time Vienna rolls into town!
