The Hill Country Showdown went down on Saturday, June 6, at the Boys & Girls Club of the Highland Lakes in Marble Falls.

Organized by local nonprofit gym, IMR Boxing Gym, the event brought dozens of young boxers together for a USA Boxing sanctioned event.

Three young Marble Falls boxers are currently training for the 2026 USA Boxing Junior Olympics in Wichita, Kansas, June 20-27.

IMR Boxer Spotlight...this weekend Santos and Maliki competed in the Hill Country Showdown in Marble Falls. Despite not securing the win, Santos's progress is noteworthy and a pleasure to witness. Maliki performed well and was awarded the belt. In two weeks, Santos, Maliki, and Rey will represent IMR Boxing at the Nationals.
