Good afternoon friends. I have a few requests from a single mama in the Manton Community. She was recently in the hospital and just needs a little help. Unfortunately we aren't able to do much through the Love Locker but as a Community maybe there's a few folks that can offer her some assistance. We were able get her some food today so she might be okay there at least for a few days.

This is the message I got from here this morning: Im still trying to figure out how to recover from my stroke and I can't do as much as normal right now. My "helper" took off on me, so its just baby (2 yo daughter) and I now, which makes things even harder.

***Someone to mow my lawn:
I NEED to have a yard sale but my grass is sooo long! I can't go mow myself, yet. Its not a huge yard and I would be perfectly happy with just the front done, if need be! I have a total of about 3/4 of an acre. I live in a swamp, so some parts are still a bit wet.

***I need tarps, totes and possibly a few tables to borrow. I have ALOT of stuff that needs to go, and just dont have proper storage for them for during a sale. You will get everything back, id just need them for 2 weeks or so, MAX.

***Easy meals/ingredients for my 2 year old and I.
I eat alot of sandwiches, on Hawaiian rolls and she likes literally EVERYTHING. Fresh fruits and veggies are a must! I can't go grocery shopping, because I can't carry her and my walker on the bus. Its just too much for me. So anything helps! Low sodium diet, for my heart, other than the lunch meat (thats nearly impossible). We don't spend alot on weekly groceries, and like to be as frugal as possible. I haven't gotten my garden in and thats hurting even more!

Im doing everything I can to provide for us, but my "helper" took off and has left us in such a vulnerable situation. Anything helps and I WILL always pay it forward!

June Diaper Pantry

Manton diaper pantry for June is Sunday June 21 from 2-4. Orders must be in by noon the Friday before (June 19). Please be patient with contact person she will respond to you as soon as possible.

🤱👼👣 🧷🍼 Hello Manton friends, especially our mama's in need of diapers and/or pull ups. Did you know Manton has a diaper pantry? It is through Seventh Day Adventist church in Manton. Here's how it works:
The diaper pantry is typically every 3rd Sunday of the month from 2-4. Diaper orders need to be in by noon on the Friday before otherwise you might not get what you need. They give a package of diapers or pull ups, wipes and diaper cream if needed. Pick up is at the Manton SDA church.

If you are in need DM me and I can put you in contact with the person in charge of this.

PSA: Though we are grateful for the donations we do NOT take the following items:
FOOD give it to the Blessing Box next door in the Prayer Room entry
TOYS, HOUSEHOLD ITEMS, FURNITURE give to your local resale shop
STAINED, SMELLY, HOLEY CLOTHES-Put in YOUR trash
The Love Locker and the Blessing Box are two separate entities run by separate individuals. The one thing we have in common is doing our best to help the community. Please be respectful and leave ONLY items accepted by each of them.

This first video is what the Locker looked like when I got there today. It has not been this empty since we opened in May of 2024. Gave us a chance to wipe out the cubbies and sweep. 2nd video in the comments is after we loaded it up. Everything was gone including the hangers except for 2 pkg of diapers. Thank you to our community and surrounding area friends and family.
