Charlie’s Comics Games and Cards is now integrated within Uplifted Bistro in Manteno. They came by to visit our Comic Book exhibit. Charles’ birthday is tomorrow June 17th also known as Mr. T day. Happy Birthday! Also thank you to brothers Matthew and Braden for helping our volunteers to fix the shelves for antique toys exhibit. Thank you again to their dad Chuck for the donation of the World War II newspapers!

Stuck in basement for tornado watch found treasures to add to Novelty exhibit: Etienne Aigner ‘Fishing Basket’ ,Gary Gail Dallas ‘Picket Fence’, Kate Spade’Going to Target’ beaded clutch and Tyrolean beaded gondola scenic purse. Going to make it a weekly post FRIDAY FINDS.

Peace Lutheran Church in Beecher Illinois had a tour today and had the honor of meeting our muralist Jenna Varley. They followed up with lunch at Yanni’s. Kate pictured to the right of Jenna came back for a VPM t-shirt for her friend that worked at NOW Comics. Small world, big hearts on these wonderful women. Thanks again for your support!

Bob, Lee, Mary and Heidi from Miami, Florida stopped by the museum taking a break from ‘Pier to Pier’ road trip celebrating Route 66 100th anniversary. They were so fun! Thank you for bringing brochures back to Miami for us!!
