Georgie’s Closet is so grateful to the incredible local businesses, churches, and organizations stepping up to serve as drop-off locations for our 3rd Annual Pajama Drive! 🥹❤️

We are collecting NEW pajamas in ALL sizes, newborn through adult 2X, for boys and girls of all ages in foster care! These pajamas will be given to children at our 3rd annual Christmas at the Closet celebration! 🎄🎁

Thank you to everyone who dropped off diapers, gave a donation, or spent part of your Saturday helping us!! And to our volunteers who showed up with their own kiddos in tow, thank you for making this a family effort.

Andrew and I spent last night at the Lutheran Child and Family Services of Illinois (LCFS) gala. ❤️ The agency that walked beside us through fostering sweet Georgie, and has believed in Georgie’s Closet and supported us from the beginning.

Their interim president, Melvin Faulkner, spoke about Nehemiah and reminded us to “stay on the wall.” That one will stick with me. This work can be hard, and sometimes you need that reminder to keep going.

What an honor to be in the room with so many people who make this work possible. This agency has loved our family so well, and it meant a lot to even be there!

Making a Walmart run this Saturday? Grab a pack of diapers for our diaper drive! 💚

We’ll be out front at the Bourbonnais Walmart on October 24 from 10–2, collecting diapers for local families.

It’s also DEA Drug Take Back Day, so bring your unneeded or expired prescription medications for safe disposal while you’re there.

We got SO much done at Georgie’s Closet today!

These Olivet Nazarene University💜 💛 students came for Shalom Day and spent their Saturday sorting & hanging pajamas, putting racks together, and helping us catch up on the never-ending to-do list. I think we even got a majority of them to agree to come back for our epic Christmas party!! 🌲

Thank you to the students, staff and our own GC volunteers for all your work today. Having extra hands makes such a difference, and I’m grateful you chose to spend your morning with us.

Baby L also got held pretty much the entire time, so he gives Shalom Day five stars. 😂
