Shoutout to our friends at Riverside Healthcare for hosting the United Way team this week (and Dolly) at their Benefits Fair. We loved getting to share some great local resources and help get team members plugged in with Riverside's annual United Way campaign.

Want to see Dolly (and the United Way team) at your workplace? 👀 Shoot us a message with info on your upcoming events!

Happy ! Today we are proud to feature our friends at our local Bradley Meijer location.

This year we presented Meijer with our Emerging Champion award🏆, in appreciation for their faithful support for United Way and nonprofits across our community.

Meijer also stepped up following the March 10th storm, donating gift cards for families who lost their homes in Aroma Park. Earlier this fall, we toured the area with a member of Meijer’s national office, and this week we hosted a "pop up" table to meet and thank their local team as they wrapped up their annual United Way campaign.

Thank you to Dan Komer and the rest of the Meijer team for living & giving UNITED!

We are immensely proud to partner with the work of Empty Bowls: Kankakee County as they seek to raise support for food security here in Kankakee County. 🍵

Only 5 tickets to this event are left! If you aren't able to attend, but want to still show your support, we encourage you to make your donations through the link in the post below. We get to serve as a the fiscal agent for this effort, and all tickets and donations are channeled through the designated food security efforts determined by the Empty Bowls leadership team.

Many families in our community are experiencing hardships this year, especially following the aftermath of the tornadoes and storms this past spring. As a result, many food pantries and social service agencies are feeling the pinch as we enter the holiday season.

Even if you can’t join us for Empty Bowls, you can help. Your donation supports nonprofit food security efforts across Kankakee County, helping our neighbors put food on the table.

Donate today and share this post to help us reach more people who can give. Every contribution makes a difference!

Empty Bowls is an initiative of Hedgeapple Arts, with donations processed by United Way of Kankakee and Iroquois Counties.

Shoutout to ITW Bernard Welding for kicking off their United Way campaign! 🎊 We love spending time with this team, and it's always fun to do this alongside our friends from United Way of Will County.

ITW was the #1 employee fundraising campaign in Kankakee County last year, so we owe a MASSIVE thank you to their amazing volunteer team who puts so much thought and care into their campaign activities every fall. Thanks for giving and living united! 💙❤️💛

“I'm okay, but my house is gone.” 🌪️

March 10th started out simply as picture day, but is now a day Teagan and her family will never forget. 7+ months later, families like the Tomlins are still working to rebuild what was lost, and the road to recovery is far from over.

As of today, United Way and the Community Foundation of Kankakee River Valley's joint for Kankakee County has distributed over $570,000 in relief funding to families across our community.

On behalf of our Aroma Park neighbors, like Brandon and Teagan, THANK YOU to everyone who has donated so far. Learn more about the Emergency Response Fund, or make a gift at: myunitedway.org/disaster

HUGE kudos to our amazing video crew! 🎥 Thank you Akash Wadhwani for going above and beyond to make this project a reality.
