There are a lot of organizations that are working to help the pollinators, native bees, birds, and insects of all kinds. The Garden Club added many gardens to the “Pollinator Pathway”. Look for the purple butterfly medallions in some of the gardens around town.

Club members planted the “Exit Garden” Town Hall Pollinator Garden this past weekend. This garden has been planted with pollinator & hummingbird friendly plants, with an emphasis on using native plants. It also has a “Butterfly Puddling Area” for butterflies and insects to take a drink, and get some minerals.

Our hope is that the butterflies, native & honey bees, hummingbirds, moths and wasps & other insects as well as many caterpillars will find this garden as they pass through town. The club hope you will enjoy this new garden.

Filmmaker Tara Zabriskie’s documentary explores the vital relationship between native plants and pollinators — and how biodiverse ecosystems can help support our environment in a changing climate.
