First Student National Master Agreement:

Teamsters Local 633 recently conducted a review of the First Student National Master Tentative Agreement. Following the May monthly meeting, Principal Officer Jeff Padellaro reviewed the details of the Tentative Agreement with First Student members.

Local 633 represents every First Student location in New Hampshire. After reviewing the offer, the members present voted unanimously to recommend a "yes" vote.

Please be advised that ballots will be distributed by the IBT Public Transportation Division.

Principal Officer Jeff Padellaro: “This National Contract is historic on so many fronts. For the first time in history, we have incorporated significant economics into the National contract. Under the Direction of General President O’Brien, this contract has achieved historic gains and protections for the membership. I am proud that the Local 633 membership at the contract review meeting voted unanimously to support this agreement.”

458 days. Because of corporate corruption, a rigged system and broken labor laws, that's how long American workers, on average, wait for their first union contract after voting to unionize.

The Teamsters are proud to be leading the charge for the Faster Labor Contract Act, which creates a real timeline that requires prompt, good-faith bargaining, ensuring faster union contracts for millions of American workers.

LOCAL 633 ON THE SHOP FLOOR

Business Agent Keith Judge visited UPS Manchester to check in with our members and conduct an election for an alternate steward. This election was called for by the membership, and we are pleased to share that three young members stepped up to get more involved: Mike Bauer, Nate Lafleur, and Eric Kelly. Local 633 would like to congratulate Mike Bauer on being elected by the membership to the position of Alternate Steward.

Business Agent Keith Judge: “It is great to see talented, young Teamsters getting involved on the shop floor. I want to thank all three candidates for stepping up and offer my congratulations to Brother Bauer. Keep up the great work, and let’s continue to hold UPS accountable.”

Principal Officer Jeff Padellaro: “I’d like to recognize these brothers for taking the time to step up to assist our sisters and brothers by running for alternate steward. I would also like to thank them running a clean and issue-based campaign. Also, a word of thanks for the members that took the time to vote and make their voices heard. When our members speak as one they are truly showing the unity and solidarity that is the base of Teamsters Local 633.”

Ratification Alert 🚨

Principal Officer Jeff Padellaro, Business Agent Keith Judge and Vice-President Jim Petrillo met with the members at Pepsi in Manchester to vote on a new agreement which was overwhelmingly ratified by the membership. The new agreement has significant wage and pension increases, stronger disciplinary language and increases time off.

Vice-President Jim Petrillo: I want to thank the negotiating committee, Paul St Laurent, Joe Leonard and Nick Lambert for their hard work and dedication during these negotiations. This contract successfully protects, preserves and improves our members work conditions.

Principal Officer Jeff Padellaro: We are proud of the unity and solidarity of our members at Pepsi showed throughout the negotiation process. This contract, which was approved by an overwhelming 4-1 margin is historic. The wage and pension increases, of this magnitude, have never been seen before.

LOCAL 633 SOFT DRINK TEAMSTERS

Business Agent Keith Judge and Vice President Jim Petrillo toured the Coca-Cola production facility and delivered a retirement watch to 30 year member Tom Bowen.

Business Agent Keith Judge: Our members here at Coca-Cola do a fantastic job ensuring the Northeast is stocked with your favorite brands from Coca-Cola and Dr. Pepper. Heading into the summer months, business is about to pick up and none of this gets done without the hard work and dedication of our members.

Vice-President Jim Petrillo: It’s always great to visit the members on the shop floor. We would like to congratulate Tom on his retirement. We hope he has a long and healthy retirement.

Principal Officer Jeff Padellaro: On behalf of the Local 633 Executive Board, we wish Brother Bowen a long, happy and healthy retirement. It is well-deserved.

Our members at CCNE are ramping up for summer production and with a recently ratified new contract, they can enjoy the upcoming nice weather with their families.”

First Student Nashua

Vice-President Jim Petrillo was on site visiting the membership and conducting an election on how extra work will be distributed.

Vice Presidential Petrillo: “Extra work and how it has been handled here in Nashua has been a point of contention for a while. So we took a vote of the membership to get consensus on the process.”

Principal Officer Jeff Padellaro: The Administration of Local 633 takes pride in the unwavering level of transparency we have in making sure that the membership is involved in determining the procedures that affect them day in and day out. Thank you to those members that took part in how extra work will be handled moving forward.”

Secretary/Treasurer Jeff Padellaro said, ”Local 633 is proud to welcome Senator Kelly’s visit to the Union Hall. He spent time answering questions from members and asking about how he could do more for and on behalf of working families.

Local 633 supports those candidates that support working families regardless of party affiliation.

As we get closer to midterm elections we will continue to meet with any and all candidates and we welcome input from the membership.”

Touch our Pensions FAFO!!!

Business Agent Keith Judge was on site at AGNE to hand out T-Shirts and give an update on upcoming proposal meeting and negotiations.

Business Agent Keith Judge: As we head into negotiations with AG, they have made it abundantly clear that they believe that the hard working men and women that kept this company running during COVID no longer deserve a dignified retirement as they look to take away the members pension. The members are united in solidarity from our Drivers to Warehouse and our message is clear. Touch our pensions…….. FAFO. We looking forward to bargaining a deal that protects, preserves and improves our members working lives. To include keeping the New England Teamsters Pension Plan.

Principal Officer Jeff Padellaro:

On behalf of the Local 633 Executive Board, I can tell you that we are immensely proud of the unity and solidarity of the women and men at Associated Grocers. They have come together to put management on notice that their secure retirement is not for sale. To be clear, the Teamsters did not start this fight, but we will certainly finish it!!
