🎉 Congratulations on Your Retirement, Bill! 🎉

After an incredible 40 years of dedicated service at Associated Grocers of New England, Bill Hebert is officially retiring!

Teamsters Local 633 Business Agent Keith Judge, Vice President Jim Petrillo, and Trustee Shawn Gilman were honored to present Bill with a retirement watch in recognition of his many years of hard work, dedication, and service.

Business Agent Keith Judge: “We congratulate Bill on this tremendous milestone and wish him and his family a long, happy, and healthy retirement. You’ve earned it, Bill—enjoy every minute!”

🚨 Strike Vote 🚨

Teamster Members at Associated Grocers of New England authorized a strike by 98%!!!!

Business Agent Keith Judge, President Jeff Parkinson and Vice President Jim Petrillo held a Strike Authorization vote for the members of Associated Grocers at the Union Hall. About 200 rank and file members met and put AGNE on notice today with a 98% approval of going on Strike. Tough talk from the CEO was not enough to intimidate the rank and file into giving up their pension benefits. With negotiations set to continue next week. The rank and file have sent a clear message to Associated Grocers!

Business Agent Keith Judge: “I’m proud to have the opportunity to represent this group and the unity and solidarity they have demonstrated during this whole process, will be the reason we win a great contract! United we win, divided we beg and the members at AG won’t be begging for s**t. We look forward to getting back to the table next week.”

Principal Officer Jeff Padellaro: “I am so proud of the strong message that the AG membership has sent to the employer. This company has made record profits and the sisters and brothers of Local 633 are the reason for this company’s success.

As we enter the next round of negotiations, we are armed with the membership’s strong statement that their pension Is not for sale.

If this company continues down this same path, they will unequivocally put themselves on strike “

Members of Teamsters Locals 170 and 633 at Bimbo Bakeries have voted by an overwhelming 98 percent to authorize a strike. The more than 200 Teamsters in sales and warehousing work throughout New England. The overwhelming strike authorization comes after weeks of negotiations during which the company refused to offer area standards or real wage adjustments.

“We’re proud of the work we do for Bimbo and know that the work we do keeps these facilities running,” said Jason Morin, a shop steward at Bimbo Bakeries and member of Local 633. “We just want a contract that allows us to provide for our families. No one wants to strike, but we’re tired of management’s continued disrespect.”

TEAMSTERS LOCAL 633 LEADERSHIP VISITS AGNE MEMBERS

Principal Officer Jeff Padellaro, Business Agent Keith Judge, Vice President Jim Petrillo, and Trustee/Steward Shawn Gilman visited our members at AGNE to provide an important contract update and speak directly with the workers affected by these negotiations.

The message was clear: our strength comes from informed, involved, and united members.

All AGNE members are reminded to attend next week’s practice picket and solidarity rally. Your participation matters. Now is the time to stand together, demonstrate our unity, and show AGNE that Local 633 is prepared to protect our contract, our pension, and our future.

An attack on one member is an attack on all 5,300 members of Teamsters Local 633.

The management of AG started this attack on our members’ retirement security, and make no mistake, we will finish it. The membership is simply looking for a fair contract and with unity and solidarity of the Local 633 members we will get a successful contract. New Steward 🚨Rank and File member Mike Bauer is elected Shop Steward!!!

Union Representative Matt Lortie conducted a Steward election at the UPS Manchester facility. With over 75 drivers participating in the election, it was a great show of solidarity and unity in Manchester. Thank you to all who participated and congratulations to Brother Bauer.

Representative Lortie: “Congratulations to Brother Bauer. It’s alway great to see young members get involved to furthering the labor movement. Thank you to all the candidates who stepped up to run. As always, we had great participation from the group and I look forward to working with Brother Bauer as we continue to hold UPS accountable”.

“It is always great to see such high levels of participation from the membership. Teamsters Local 633 encourages participation and with the current environment with UPS, we need unity and solidarity as we continue to hold management accountable. Contract time will be here before we know it. It is our intention to fully support General President O’Brien and the Teamsters National Negotiating Committee in their effort to bring back the best possible contract, and those efforts begin with strong Shop Stewards and a unified membership. I thank all of those members that participated”
