Manawa Snodeo Manawa Snodeo...always the 3rd weekend in February. 4 tracks of ice racing running simultaneously! See detailed info: www.manawasnodeo.org

The Manawa Snodeo was conceived in 2007; by a group of racers and enthusiasts from the area, who wanted to rekindle the Snowmobile Derbies held at Bear Lake and Manawa Lake between the years of 1968-1973. The term “Snodeo” was considered as a play on words being that the City of Manawa is known nationwide for holding a 4th of July PRCA sanctioned Rodeo since 1959. The event began initially in 2008 as a one day 1.5 mile long Snowmobile slalom or “Lakecross” event and had 37 contestants with approximately, 100 spectators. For the following few years the entrees, attendance and length of the course continued to grow. Each year we have added a "new" event. We now have 4 ice/snow tracks racing simultaneously: ProVintage oval racing (2 days)), Radar Runs 1000', WI Kitty Kat Championship, Lawnmowers, Mini Bikes, UTV racing. Vintage Snowmobile Show. Many games and activities for children as well. More details at: www.manawasnodeo.org $20/Sat; $15/Sun or $30/weekend (920) 470-1417. The Manawa Snodeo is always the 3rd weekend in Februrary, held at Bear Lake N4715 Hwy 22/110 Manawa, WI.

🐻‍❄️ A Huge Shout-Out to the Hortonville Polar Bear Snowmobile Club! 🐻‍❄️

We want to extend our sincere appreciation to the members of the Hortonville Polar Bear Snowmobile Club for the incredible work they put into making this year’s Snodeo happen.

When circumstances forced us to shift our plans and modify the event to run the following Saturday, these guys stepped up in a big way. From setup and teardown to reorganizing tasks and adjusting the track, they worked tirelessly to make sure everything came together.

They took charge, made smart decisions, paid attention to the details, and constantly stayed one step ahead to prevent issues before they even had a chance to happen. Their leadership, work ethic, and willingness to jump in wherever needed truly made a difference.

Simply put, there is no way we could have pulled off the Snodeo without them.

Thank you to this stellar group of guys for your dedication, teamwork, and commitment to making the event a success. We are incredibly grateful for everything you did! 👏❄️🏁

👏 Manawa Snodeo Volunteer of the Year 👏

The Manawa Snodeo Committee would like to recognize the Scheller Family as our 2026 Snodeo Volunteer of the Year.

For the past five years—and likely even longer—the Scheller family has quietly played a huge role in making the Snodeo a safe and successful event. Each summer they bale hay specifically for us, store it, and when winter arrives they work tirelessly to get those bales ready for pickup.
Those hay bales are not just part of the setup; they are critical to the safety of our racers and spectators. Because of the Scheller family’s dedication and willingness to help year after year, we are able to provide a safer race environment for everyone who comes to enjoy the Manawa Snodeo.

Their hard work often happens behind the scenes, but it does not go unnoticed. The time, effort, and generosity they give to this event truly embody what the Snodeo is all about—community, teamwork, and helping each other out.

Please join us in giving a big thank you and congratulations to the Scheller Family, our Manawa Snodeo Volunteer of the Year! 👏❄️🏁

🏁 Manawa Snodeo Snowmobile Ambassador of the Year 🏁

The Manawa Snodeo Committee is proud to recognize Keith and Jeanne Welch as this year’s Manawa Snodeo Snowmobile Ambassadors of the Year.

Keith Welch was instrumental in the early days of snowmobiling and snowmobile racing. During the 1960s and 1970s, he played an important role in helping shape the direction the sport of snowmobiling would take. His passion for the sport, dedication to racing, and involvement in the snowmobile community helped pave the way for generations of riders and racers that followed.

Behind every great supporter of the sport is someone who stands beside them, and Jeanne has been a wonderful partner in that journey, supporting Keith and the snowmobile community throughout the years.

Together, Keith and Jeanne represent the spirit, history, and passion that snowmobiling brings to our community. Their contributions have helped keep the legacy of the sport alive in Manawa and beyond.

Please join us in congratulating Keith and Jeanne Welch on being named the Manawa Snodeo Snowmobile Ambassadors of the Year! 🎉❄️🏁
