🐾 Welcome to the world, Cheese Puff & Cheese Doodle! 🧡

Sweet mama Bayway came to us through one of our TNVR programs already very late in her pregnancy. We knew she needed somewhere safe, quiet, and comfortable, but little did we know just how ready she was!

At around 1:00 AM on Sunday, August 23, Bayway welcomed two tiny kittens, appropriately named Cheese Puff and Cheese Doodle. 🧀🐱

Mom and babies are doing wonderful and are currently being cared for by one of our board members as a temporary foster while everyone receives their initial medical care. Once cleared, the little family will move to a longer-term foster home where Cheese Puff and Cheese Doodle can continue growing big and strong.

The kittens will not be available for adoption until they are at least eight weeks old and have completed all required medical care.

For now, their only jobs are to eat, sleep, grow, and let Mama Bayway take care of the rest. ❤️

🚨 URGENT FOSTER NEEDED — VERY PREGNANT MAMA CAT 🚨

Garden State Animal Rescue Center urgently needs a foster for a very pregnant, incredibly friendly mama cat who was trapped during one of our TNR programs.

What started as a routine effort to help community cats quickly became something more. This sweet girl is very close to giving birth, and instead of returning her outside, we want to give her the chance to have her babies somewhere safe, quiet, warm, and loved. ❤️

She is extremely friendly and clearly comfortable with people. Right now, she doesn’t need anything complicated — she just needs a room, a bathroom, or another quiet space where she can safely deliver and care for her kittens.

🐾 GSARC will provide everything needed.
🐾 Mama and her babies will remain under our rescue.
🐾 You provide the safe space and love

Time is extremely important. She could give birth over the next few days, and we would love to get her settled into a foster home before that happens.

Sweet Ivy is the last of her siblings still waiting to find a place to call home, and we know her perfect family is out there. ❤️

At just 3 months old and weighing an incredible 4.5 pounds, Ivy may be tiny, but her personality is anything but. She loves to run, play, and explore, but when the fun is over, she’s happiest curled up in your lap soaking up every second of cuddle time.

Every one of her siblings has found their forever home… now it’s Ivy’s turn.

🐾☀️ Klaus’ Summer Survival Guide ☀️🐾

When you’re built like a German Shepherd but your budget only allows for a kiddie pool… 😂

Klaus has officially determined that if at least 51% of his body is in the water, it counts as being fully submerged. Science has not yet confirmed his findings.

Meanwhile, he’s sitting here looking at me like, “Dad, I’m gonna need a bigger pool.” 🐕💦

These three adorable kittens are officially 8 weeks old and are now ready to start accepting applications for their forever homes! 💕

Lulu, Dante, and Brit have been growing stronger every day and will be spayed/neutered within the next few weeks while they continue their journey toward finding loving families of their own.

Today, we remember the heroes who gave everything for this country — the brave men, women, and K9 partners who served with honor, courage, and sacrifice. 🇺🇸🐾

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It is a moment to pause and reflect on the lives lost protecting the freedoms we often take for granted. We also honor the loyal military and working canines who stood beside our service members, fearless and faithful until the very end.

To all who made the ultimate sacrifice:
Your service will never be forgotten.
Your legacy will always live on.

🖤💚 Welcome Batman, Robin, Harley, and Ivy to the GSARC family! 💚🖤

These adorable little Chihuahua / Jack Russell mix puppies are estimated to be around 6 weeks old and have officially entered our care. While they may be tiny, they have already stolen all of our hearts. 🐾

Over the coming weeks, these pups will receive full medical care including:
✔️ Vaccinations
✔️ Spay/Neuter
✔️ Microchips
✔️ Deworming
✔️ Veterinary evaluations
✔️ And everything else needed to ensure they receive a clean bill of health before finding their forever homes.

Kitten season is here… and it’s hitting us hard.

Every day, we’re taking in tiny, vulnerable kittens, many without mothers, too young to survive on their own, and in desperate need of round-the-clock care. Right now, we are at critical capacity and urgently need kitten fosters to step up.

Fostering saves lives.
These kittens don’t need a shelter, they need a warm home, a soft place to rest, and someone willing to give them the care and love they deserve until they’re ready for adoption.

We provide supplies, guidance, and support, you provide the safe space.

It’s never easy to share stories like this… but these three little lives deserve to be heard. 💔

A few nights ago, a brave mama cat did everything she could to protect her babies. She fought with everything she had… but tragically, she was attacked and killed by three raccoons while defending her kittens.

Now, her three tiny babies, only about 2½ weeks old, are left behind. Alone, confused, and far too young to be without their mom.

Despite everything, they are fighting. They’re eating, they’re cuddling together for comfort, and they’re slowly learning that they’re safe. Their mom gave everything to give them a chance… and we are determined to honor that.

But they need us… and they need you.

At this age, they require round-the-clock care, bottle feeding, warmth, medical support, and constant monitoring. It’s a lot, but they are worth every second.

If you can, please consider making a donation to help us give these babies the life their mother fought so hard for. Every dollar goes directly toward their care and the many others who rely on us.

Let’s turn this heartbreaking loss into something hopeful.

Warm weather is here… and you know what that means!! 🐾

Our TNVR program is running at full capacity right now, and we’re doing everything we can to keep up—but we need your help.

We are extremely low on linens, and our most urgent needs are:
🛁 Bath towels & sheets (to safely cover traps)
🐾 Hand towels (for inside carriers for kittens)

These simple items make a huge difference in keeping animals safe, calm, and comfortable during trapping and transport.

If you have any extras you’d like to donate, please send us a DM and we’ll arrange a pickup.
