📣 Calling All Malta High School FFA Alumni and Community Members!💙💛

We may be a small chapter, but we’re all in and have a busy year planned! Our members and parents will be working at each event, and we’re looking for alumni and community members willing to work alongside us and lend an extra hand.

We have a need volunteers for:

🏐 Volleyball Concessions—October 22
Helping serve the meal, sell lemonade and work concessions.

🌾 Winter Districts—December 8
Malta will host students from across the district competing in **Agronomy, Veterinary Science and Ag Mechanics**. We’ll need volunteers to work alongside our members and parents to help the event run smoothly. Specific jobs and times will be shared as we get closer.

🏀 Basketball Concessions—December 22
Helping serve the meal, sell lemonade and work concessions.

The money we raise will help our members attend:

🔹 District Leadership Seminar in Havre
🔹 Fall Districts in Chinook
🔹 Spring Districts
🔹 Montana FFA Ag Expo in Bozeman
🔹 Fusion Career Summit in Helena
🔹 KMON in Great Falls
🔹 State FFA Convention in Great Falls
🔹 Alumni Leadership Camp in Highwood—Summer 2027
🔹 Additional day trips and competitions throughout the year

These events give our students opportunities to compete, explore agricultural careers, build leadership skills and connect with other FFA members from across Montana.

Additional fundraisers planned throughout the year include:

🍎 Fruit sales
🍋 Lemonade stand
🎟️ Raffle
🤫 Silent auction

Our members and their parents are committed and ready to work—we would simply appreciate some extra hands along the way! Whether you wore the blue jacket or just want to support local students, any and all support is appreciated.

💙 Interested in sponsoring Malta FFA or making a donation? Financial contributions and donated items or services are also welcome and will help offset the cost of registration, travel and other student expenses throughout the year.

✅ Who's eligible? Any student enrolled in Woods, Welding, or Ag classes can join FFA — this is likely a lot more of you than you think!

🚜 What can you actually DO in FFA? So much more than just cows and tractors! There's something for every kid, no matter your interests:

🐄 Livestock & Animal Science — livestock judging, vet science, animal care
🌱 Plant & Ag Science — agronomy, horticulture, floriculture, forestry
🔧 Ag Mechanics & Technology — welding, machinery, ag tech
💰 Business & Sales — ag sales, ag business management, farm business planning
🎤 Public Speaking & Leadership — creed speaking, extemporaneous speaking, prepared public speaking, parliamentary procedure
📸 Communications & Media — ag communications, photography, marketing
🍽️ Food Science — food science and technology
🌍 Community & Ag Issues — ag issues forums, community service projects

🎓 It's about more than a club meeting:

SAE Projects — start your own hands-on agricultural experience (livestock, business, work-based, or research) that can turn into real income and real skills
FFA Degrees — work toward your Greenhand, Chapter, State, and even the American FFA Degree (a big deal on college applications!)
Scholarships — FFA members are eligible for millions of dollars in scholarships nationally through the National FFA Scholarship Program
Leadership Conferences & Conventions — state and national events where you build skills, meet people, and grow as a leader
Proficiency Awards — get recognized (and win money) for excelling in your specific area of interest
