The prison ministry is the centerpiece of Sabbath Keepers Fellowship and is the focus of its charitable operations. As well as worship services, the ministry provides books, bibles, concordances, calendars, our Freedom's Call newsletter, teachings and articles, various worship items such as the tallith (prayer shawl), kippah, women's head-coverings, Passover packages, as well as holyday and Sabbath matzah (bread) and juice, to prison inmates and to their families. As a personal outreach, the ministry members provide personal correspondence to inmates promoting biblical values and ideals, as well as a Pen-Pal program that connects inmates with suitable, like-minded pen-pals.

The Min Hazaqen Torah Commentary started as simple notes, written by the elder of a prison faith-based community, at every spare opportunity and on any scrap of paper that was handy. They were written at the request of a few spiritually hungry brothers to supplement their studies mid-week between Sabbath services. What started as little more than a small seed for a little group of people eventually grew into something much larger. Over time, more and more people requested to be included in its distribution, both in prison and outside of it. The commentaries eventually made their way to social-media, where they have now become a popular written and video teaching for thousands of brothers and sisters each week. Ultimately, the demand for them became so great that it necessitated the publication of this book.

This work is not meant to be a complete teaching on the Torah by any means, but merely a brief commentary to enhance understanding, and to give a spark of inspiration for readers to dig deeper; and to see some of the richness and beauty in the teachings that are the foundational books of YHWH’s Word. Because we believe this is a gift given to us by the Most-High and not our own doing, we are compelled and feel it is our responsibility to share it with you. We hope this work of love is an inspiration to you also as you seek His face and walk in The Way.

The book currently comes in hardcover linen with gold stamping and a dust-jacket. It is 164 pages long and contains a glossary and Torah study schedule for your convenience. All of the proceeds from the book are donated to help needy Sabbath-keeping inmates in the pursuit of their faith and are fully tax-deductible.
