Corridor Rescue Inc. Corridor Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization with primary emphasis on rescuing dogs from the Corridor of Cruelty in Houston, TX.

We rescue dogs from an area dubbed the Corridor of Cruelty in Houston Texas as well as other areas when we are able to assist. We operate a rescue and rehabilitation Magnolia, Texas where the dogs go straight from the streets to recover and find homes.

🚨 EMERGENCY INTAKE: CROMWELL NEEDS YOUR HELP 🚨

Cromwell has been seen occasionally on the streets, but today was different. He was spotted injured and clearly in need of medical attention. We aren’t sure what happened to him, but we knew we couldn’t leave him behind.

JaNell quickly scooped him up and rushed him to Vergi 24/7 ❤️‍🩹

He is currently undergoing preliminary bloodwork and X-rays, and his wounds will be cleaned and treated. We’ll know more once the diagnostics are complete.

💔 Current emergency care estimate: $869 for diagnostics.

This is an unexpected emergency expense, and we need your help to give Cromwell the care he needs. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps.

Meet Solar & Shams ☀️

While independent street feeders JaNell and Robby were making their daily route, two dogs came running right up to their car at the same abandoned home where Elise and her litter of puppies were rescued.

✨ Shams is overall healthy and quite possibly the happiest girl you’ll ever meet. She’s already been accepted into the adoption program with our northern rescue partner, buddydoghumane, and is scheduled to transport to Massachusetts on September 24th!

Until then, Shams would love a short-term foster home where she can soak up some love, get comfortable, and wait for her next chapter to begin.

☀️ Solar wasn’t as fortunate. He was found suffering from a severe degloving injury, which had been bandaged with makeshift supplies that his previous owner may have found around the home. He was immediately rushed to Vergi 24/7, where his wound received proper medical care for the first time.

Solar is now receiving bandage changes every other day as he works toward healing. His foster family won’t have to shoulder the medical costs or supplies—we provide everything needed. What Solar needs most is a safe, clean, loving place to recover.

Two dogs. One abandoned home. Two very different medical journeys—but both now have a chance because someone stopped to help.

Can you be the safe place Solar needs to heal? Or give Shams a soft landing until her transport north?

Not only is it National Dog Day, it's also WISHLIST WEDNESDAY....and you know what that means!

Valentines is asking for donations on this day that's special to her and her canine buddies. She would love it if you'd visit the wishlist at https://a.co/0iI5NMKc and send just one or two needed items the kennel's way!

Current needs include: Training treats, regular dog treats, paper towels, blue Dawn dish soap, dry & wet cat food, toilet paper, and hand soap. Herding balls, durable dog toys, & cooling towels are also on the list & would be wonderful to have!

This big, goofy, happy boy has a smile that could brighten just about anyone’s day — and he’s still waiting for a family to call his own.

Adoption Update #23, Charlie!

On the day of Charlie’s rescue, our street team volunteers had originally set out to rescue another puppy. When they spotted Charlie dragging her injured paw along the scorching hot cement of the Corridor streets, we knew immediately that this little girl couldn’t be left behind.

Charlie’s road to recovery included countless veterinary visits and a trip to the specialists at gcvs, where it was determined that her injured leg would need to be amputated. But Charlie never let her circumstances dampen her spirit. Through it all, she remained the happiest, sweetest little girl.

After healing from surgery, Charlie was accepted by our northern rescue partner, Buddy Dog Humane Society, with just one condition: she needed to be spayed before making the journey north.

That’s when her story took another unexpected turn.

The moment her surgery technician at Animal Hospital of the Woodlands met Charlie, she immediately offered to foster her until transport.

But Charlie had other plans.

Within just two days, Madison knew that Charlie wouldn’t be traveling north to find her forever home after all. She had already found it.

Sometimes the rescue plan is just the beginning. And sometimes, the best part of the story is realizing that forever was waiting right here all along.

Happy tails, sweet Charlie. You’ve come so far, and we couldn’t be happier for where your journey has taken you.
