🐾 Meet Charlie, Sanibel, Santorini, and Bimini 🐾

A few weeks ago, one of our feeders was contacted by a resident worried that her puppies had parvo. At the time, we simply didn't have space to bring them in.

Last week, an opening finally became available, and our volunteers headed out to pick up the three female puppies. As they were loading them, they noticed another puppy nearby with a severely injured leg. When they asked if she needed help too, the resident immediately said yes.

We went to help 3 puppies and left with 4 lives depending on us.

The three puppies tested positive for parvo, but thankfully have shown no symptoms. They immediately started treatment and are doing great while they wait for their negative tests and a clean bill of health.

Then there's Charlie. 💜

We feared her injured leg might require amputation, but X-rays revealed a dislocation rather than severe bone damage. With wound care and lots of TLC, her leg is already improving. Time will tell whether she regains full use, but she's proving every day that she's a fighter.

At just 6 months old, Charlie is heartworm negative and has already stolen every heart she's met. She's the sweetest cuddle bug imaginable and has landed an amazing foster home to continue her healing journey before her spay surgery.

The puppies—Sanibel, Santorini, and Bimini—are only 6 weeks old and will soon be ready for foster homes of their own once they receive their parvo clearance. They deserve the chance to learn what safety, comfort, and love feel like.

✨ This is what rescue looks like.
✨ Saying yes when it's hard.
✨ Finding room when there isn't any.
✨ Giving hope when there seems to be none.
But we cannot do it alone.
Every dollar. Every share. Every foster home saves lives.
Because sometimes we go to rescue three... and discover a fourth life waiting for a chance.

Adoption Update #14, Freddy Mercury!

Born beneath an abandoned home with an uncertain future, Freddie Mercury was rescued by our street team and welcomed into the home of one of our team members, where he experienced love, safety, and comfort for the very first time. Along the way, he faced one of his biggest challenges and bravely survived Parvo. Through it all, he made countless friends, stole many hearts, and showed us just how resilient a little puppy can be.

Today, Freddie is settling into his wonderful new home in Massachusetts, and it sounds like he’s already living his best life!

His new family shared:

“He has been the best!! First day he was a little shy… wouldn’t jump on the couch… now he loves jumping on the couch and playing ball with us!”

From surviving on his own under an abandoned house to playing fetch with a family who adores him, Freddie’s story is a beautiful reminder of what rescue, compassion, and second chances can accomplish.

Congratulations, Freddie! We can’t wait to watch you continue to shine in your forever home.

Meet Agatha ♥️

For years, Agatha has been surviving alone on the streets.

Street team volunteers JaNell and Robby were told by residents in the area that Agatha was abandoned by her owners during the COVID pandemic. Since then, she has been left to fend for herself, navigating the dangers of life on the streets completely alone.

This beautiful Cane Corso is covered in sarcoptic mange and her body bears the scars of multiple hit-and-run incidents over the years. Every wound tells the story of a dog who has endured unimaginable hardship and neglect.

The emotional scars run just as deep. Agatha carries the trauma of years spent in survival mode, never knowing safety, comfort, or where her next meal would come from. Yet despite everything she has suffered, she is beginning to lean in for affection. She is slowly learning that not every human will hurt her. She is starting to trust.

Now it’s our turn to show Agatha that she matters.

Before we can fully understand the extent of her injuries and begin her road to recovery, Agatha urgently needs full-body X-rays and comprehensive medical treatment. We know there is a long journey ahead, but we are committed to giving her the care she deserves.

Please consider making a donation toward Agatha’s diagnostics and medical care. Every dollar brings her one step closer to healing, comfort, and the loving future she has been denied for far too long.

Together, we can help Agatha leave her life of suffering behind and finally experience what it means to be safe, loved, and cared for.

If you are able to provide Agatha with a safe place to heal, please submit an application to foster below.

Meet Lola!

Lola is a 3-year-old Chihuahua who recently joined our rescue, and we’re hoping to find her a local foster home where she can continue to blossom.

Before coming into our care, Lola was rescued and vetted by PetSet. After her initial vaccines and deworming, she was spayed through our program on Friday and is now recovering well.

The transition into our kennel facility has been a little overwhelming for this tiny girl. During her first few days, Lola was very fearful and spent much of her time shaking. But each day she’s showing us a little more of her true personality. She’s beginning to seek out affection, accept gentle attention, and let her guard down. She even sniffs and explores the yard now!

We believe Lola would make even greater progress in a calm, loving foster home where she can continue building confidence and learning that the world is a safe place. If she continues on this positive path, we’ll be able to submit her to one of our northern rescue partners, giving her an even greater chance of finding her perfect forever family.

Can you help Lola take the next step on her journey? If you’re interested in fostering or adopting, please submit an application through the link below!

Adoption Update #13, Lance!

Lance’s story started during the Houston freeze, when he was born under a tree and brought to Corridor Rescue at just 3 days old. As the tiniest of his litter, he struggled to thrive, and by 5 days old, his momma made the difficult decision to reject him. But Lance had other plans.

Lance was welcomed into a loving foster home with our veterinary technician, Zoe, where he was bottle-fed, cared for around the clock, and given a second chance at life. There, he grew up alongside a Corridor alumni, Scamp—his absolute best friend—and a cat sister who helped teach him the ropes.

When his litter was accepted into the adoption program of our northern rescue partner, we had hopes that Lance would travel with them to find his forever home. Sadly, his significant difference in size had made him an outsider once again, and he was bullied by his siblings so much so that we did not feel comfortable sending him.

Lance became available for adoption from his local foster home and quickly caught the eye of a wonderful family in British Columbia. After patiently waiting another few weeks for his neuter and recovery, his parents and kitty sibling have officially welcomed him home with open arms!

Happy tails, Lance. Your journey has touched so many of our hearts! ♥️

Urgent Foster Plea: Mishka

We need to talk about Mishka.

When Mishka was rescued in December 2025, she was still just a puppy — but she had already missed out on so much. Born on the streets, she spent the most important socialization period of her life trying to survive instead of learning that people could be safe.

And it showed.

At the kennel, Mishka was absolutely terrified. She would spin in circles from fear and anxiety. She wouldn’t let staff touch her, approach her, or comfort her. Watching her live in that constant state of panic was heartbreaking because underneath it all was just a baby who never got the chance to feel safe.

Then a foster stepped up.

And slowly… very slowly… Mishka started changing.

She began allowing people near her. A few timid pets here and there. She started learning routines. She loved being around the other puppy in the home and took so much comfort from the calm adult dog there. For the first time, we got to see glimpses of who Mishka could become with patience and love.

But now she’s back at the kennel.

And honestly, we are scared for her.

Dogs like Mishka do not do well in loud, stressful kennel environments. They shut down. They backslide. The progress they fought so hard for starts disappearing little by little. We do not want that to happen to her.

So we are asking — truly asking — if anyone out there has room in their heart and home for this girl.

Mishka needs a foster. Ideally someone with experience with shy or feral dogs, but more than anything, someone patient. Someone willing to let her move at her own pace and continue learning that the world is not such a scary place.

We provide all supplies. You provide the safe place and the love.

Please help us give Mishka the future she deserves.

🧬 FILE #4: HONDO
HONDO’S RESULTS ARE IN…
…and honestly, we may have more questions than answers.
Scientists are reportedly “deeply concerned” about the aerodynamic properties of these ears. 👀
At 65 pounds, Hondo’s DNA says:
🧬 American Pit Bull Terrier
🧬 American Staffordshire Terrier
🧬 Labrador Retriever
…and apparently a tiny percentage satellite dish.
This 1.5-year-old goofball is smart, athletic, and already knows:
✔ sit
✔ down
✔ shake
He loves walks, running around, learning new things, and keeping a close eye on absolutely everything happening around him.
(Seriously. Those ears miss NOTHING.)
Hondo has done well meeting other dogs in calm, controlled settings and would need a meet and greet for new family members. No cats for this guy.
And despite the scandalous headlines…
his biggest crime is stealing attention everywhere he goes.
