Corridor Rescue Inc. Corridor Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization with primary emphasis on rescuing dogs from the Corridor of Cruelty in Houston, TX.

We rescue dogs from an area dubbed the Corridor of Cruelty in Houston Texas as well as other areas when we are able to assist. We operate a rescue and rehabilitation Magnolia, Texas where the dogs go straight from the streets to recover and find homes.

HAPPY NATIONAL VETERINARY TECHNICIAN WEEK!

This week, we’re celebrating our amazing Corridor Rescue Vet Techs — Zoe, Kimberley, and Genevieve!

Veterinary medicine isn’t always glamorous. It’s long days, messy moments, difficult cases, emotionally challenging decisions, and so much hard work that often goes unseen. But through it all, Zoe, Kimberley, and Genevieve continue to show up, give their all, and provide incredible medical care to the animals who need them most.

Thank you for your dedication, compassion, medical expertise, and unwavering commitment to our rescue babies. From lifesaving treatments to the countless little things you do behind the scenes, your work makes a world of difference in the lives of the animals we serve.

We know this job isn’t always emotionally or physically easy, and we’re so grateful that you continue to do it — and do it so well. You are an invaluable part of the Corridor Rescue team, and we couldn’t do what we do without you!

💙 LOOK AT THIS CHAMP! POE HAS BEEN DISCHARGED! 💙

Poe’s PCV is holding steady at 20%! 🎉 For context, a normal PCV (packed cell volume), which measures the percentage of red blood cells in the blood, is typically 35%–57%. Poe still has a long way to go, but holding at 20% is encouraging!

After everything this boy has been through, seeing him walk out of VERGI is a moment worth celebrating! 🐾❤️

He still has healing to do, and we’ll be watching his anemia closely. He’s heading forward on steroids and antibiotics, with lots of love and support as he continues his recovery.

Queen Arianna’s Recovery Depends on a Foster Home!

Queen Arianna was rescued nursing her newborn puppies out in the Houston freeze. She was fighting to keep her babies alive in the cold, and now, after everything she has survived, it’s her turn to be cared for.

Arianna has completed heartworm treatment, but her medical journey has been far from over. After experiencing sudden collapses, she has been in and out of cardiology specialists as we desperately searched for answers.

Following her visit to Texas A&M, Arianna was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension secondary to her heavy heartworm burden. She has now started medication to address this condition, but her recovery requires something she simply cannot get in a kennel environment: rest, restricted activity, and a low-stress place to heal.

Arianna has fought so hard to survive. She made it through the freeze, raised her newborn puppies, completed heartworm treatment, and endured countless veterinary visits to find out what was happening to her body. Now, she needs a safe place where she can finally exhale.

A kennel is no place for a dog managing a serious heart and lung condition. Arianna needs a foster who can offer her a quiet home, keep her activity restricted as directed by her veterinary team, and give her the comfort and stability she deserves.

10/13/2026 12:57pm update:
Poe is doing well and resting. He has had 1 blood transfusion and his PCV is holding at 20%. This is still significantly low but much better than the 6% he started at yesterday. They will keep him one more night with a PCV recheck again late tonight. Currently he is not regenerating blood cells as normal, so hoping that improves over the next 24 hours.

💔 POE’S UPDATE: FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE 💔

When Poe was found lying on the side of the road, emaciated, unable to stand, and struggling to breathe, we knew he needed help. Now we know just how serious his condition is.

🚨 Poe’s PCV (a measure of his red blood cell levels) is just 6.1%. This is dangerously low. The fact that he is still alert is almost unbelievable.

His heartworm test is negative, but he is carrying a heavy burden of fleas, tapeworms, and hookworms. The severe flea and intestinal parasite infestation is the likely cause of his critical anemia.

His bloodwork also shows mildly elevated white blood cells, BUN, and ALT, though these aren't the primary concerns right now. There is also possible cellulitis around his testicles, and his chest X-rays show some cloudiness in his lungs. He isn't showing respiratory symptoms, but the veterinary team plans to start antibiotics as a precaution.

❤️ What Poe needs now is urgent medical intervention. He will need at least 24 hours of hospitalization and a blood transfusion—possibly two—to give his body a chance to recover.

Poe was lying on the roadside, too weak to stand, with his life hanging in the balance. He deserves the chance to feel safe, comfortable, and loved. We want to give him that chance.

🙏 Please help us fight for Poe. If you can donate toward his emergency hospitalization, blood transfusions, and treatment, every dollar will make a difference. If you can't donate, please share his story. Help us show Poe that he is no longer alone. His current bill is $4,067.15 (this is his diagnostics so far and the next 24 hours of care and all that includes)

Adoption Update #27, Fenton Dean!

Fenton’s rescue story began when he was abandoned alone overnight in the parking lot of a warehouse. When workers arrived the next morning, they were told to throw him in the trash.

Just think about that for a moment. A living, breathing, innocent dog left behind like he was nothing.

But two people came together and refused to let that be the end of his story… and in saving Fenton’s life, they unknowingly set something much bigger in motion: a wave of people who would continue to show up for him.

One person stepped up to provide a temporary foster home. That temporary foster led to a long-term foster. And that long-term foster led Fenton straight to the loving forever home he always deserved.

This is what happens when people choose compassion over indifference. When one person says yes, another person finds a way to help, and suddenly, a dog who was once told he belonged in the trash is surrounded by people who know he belongs in a family.

Fenton Dean, you were never disposable. You were never trash. You were always worthy of love, safety, and a place to call home.

And now, you have it.

🚨 OSBORNE: IS IT A BIRD? IS IT A PLANE? NOPE. IT'S AN ADOPTABLE DOG! 🦸‍♂️🐕

At 2.5 years old, Osborne has two things going for him: a great smile and a questionable relationship with gravity. 😂

That photo? We think he’s flying. And based on reports that he’s been known to clear a fence or two, we’re not ruling it out. Jumping? Flying? Escaping the laws of physics? The evidence is inconclusive. 😆

Here's what else you should know about this handsome guy:

⚡ Energy level: High. Osborne is ready for action, adventure, and a person who can keep up.

🎓 Brains: He's got some basic skills and genuinely wants to do the right thing. Continued training will help him put those brains to good use.

🐕 Dog friends: Osborne is dog-selective, so he'll need thoughtful introductions and a home that understands not every dog needs a canine roommate.

Secure fencing is a must. This guy has demonstrated that ordinary fences may be more of a suggestion than a boundary!

Osborne needs an adopter who appreciates an energetic, smart dog with personality to spare—and who's ready to help him channel all that enthusiasm into the right activities.
