Nonprofits are often a trusted source of information in our communities, which is why many orgs include voter education and engagement as part of their work. As you’re sharing information with voters, here’s a reminder of key dates for the 2026 primary elections - including this week’s deadline to register to vote - along with resources voters can use to check or update their registration.

1️⃣ Check voter registration status through the NC State Board of Elections Voter Search (where they can also check out their sample ballot). https://vt.ncsbe.gov/RegLkup/

2️⃣ Confirm they are not on the Registration Repair list. Voters on this list will need to provide their ID or the last four digits of their Social Security number (with ways to do so online, in-person, or by mail) to receive a regular ballot. https://dl.ncsbe.gov/RegistrationRepair/index.html

📌 Sharing this information now can help voters be prepared and avoid issues at the polls.
