So proud of Val and Bri for representing Madera FFA at the Madera Fair Horse Show today!

Valarie brought home 1st Place in FFA Advanced Showmanship and will be competing in master showmanship on Friday September 11th. She also had a great day competing across the Advanced Western and Gymkhana classes!

Brianna earned 2nd Place in Advanced Poles and Single Stake, along with 3rd Place finishes in Showmanship, Western Pleasure, Western Equitation, and Horsemanship!

In the Madera Fair market turkey show Ashly Cruz won Intermediate Turkey Showmanship and the lightweight turkey class. All birds placed in the top 5 of their classes and will be available in the fair auction.

It was an amazing day at the Madera Fair Poultry Show! In the market chicken class Francisco Castillo won FFA champion meat pen and Diego Luna won
FFA reserve Champion meat pen. Isabella Gonzalez won both Novice and Intermediate showmanship and Jose Aguirre won Advanced Showmanship!

Two of our members attended the SJR Sectional Officer Leadership Conference today in Bakersfield where they worked to develop skills that will help them plan and facilitate event for the chapters in our section. Luis Madera is serving as the WFM President and Luz Rodriguez is serving as the WFM Vice President.

Congratulations to the 12 members who earned their American FFA Degrees this year! The American FFA degree is the highest degree a member can earn in the organization, with less than 1% reaching this achievement. They join the other 205 alumni who have earned this honor.

Congratulations to Saray Madriz and Christopher Tornero for being named National Proficiency Finalists! They were chosen as one of the top four projects in the nation in their areas and will compete for the Championship this fall!
