Macomb Mallards

Macomb Mallards This page is dedicated to providing a safe haven/observation point for mallard ducks and wildlife. Miller Drain is a small creek in Macomb, Michigan (USA).

This page is dedicated to providing a safe haven for mallard ducks and other wildlife, in the middle of a suburban neighborhood, so that people can observe and enjoy them as they interact with each other and raise their young along the Miller Drain water corridor, literally in our own backyard. It is located at an elevation of 177 meters above sea level, and is part of the Clinton River watershed.

Our lot adjoining this creek is one of the largest (.69 acres) in the Harmony Acres subdivision. We observe lots of wildlife here, including ducks, hawks, egrets, Great Blue Herons, raccoons, skunks, muskrats, mink, deer, and many others. Neighbors and visitors stop to watch and photograph the animals from the sidewalk at the top of the hill, as it is unusual to see so many in a suburban neighborhood.
