Kids, bring your library card!

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, and we’re giving our youngest library users an extra reason to celebrate!

Every child who signs up for a new Chesterfield Township Library card, or comes into the library and shows us their existing card, will receive a Chick-fil-A Kids Meal card while supplies last.

Already have a card? Bring it in! Need one? September is the perfect time to sign up and discover everything your library card can unlock.

Thank you for all you do in researching and preserving our history!

Thank you for all you do in researching and preserving our history!

This week's history post is a little different, but a lot important!! We're giving you a sneak peek into the man behind the scenes....

A special thank you to Adam Mueller for his help and support with our Chesterfield Township History Posts! When we have reached out for information, Adam has generously shared historical materials and resources with us, helping us tell more stories about Chesterfield’s past. Through his own efforts, he has also helped expand the historical archives of our local area, preserving valuable pieces of our community’s history for future generations.

Adam serves as Librarian, Adult Services at the Chesterfield Township Library and as Secretary of the Chesterfield Historical Society. We appreciate his knowledge, generosity, and commitment to preserving and sharing Chesterfield’s history with our community!

Bringing library resources where they’re needed.

What if the library came to you? That’s exactly what we want to accomplish with the Chesterfield Township Library Bookmobile by reaching people throughout our community who may not always be able to visit the library themselves.

We hope to spend time at preschools and daycares, where early literacy activities can make an important impact, as well as nursing homes, schools, summer lunch sites, and other locations throughout the community. The Bookmobile allows us to bring books, resources, and library services directly to people where they already are.

The library is for everyone, and sometimes that means going beyond our own doors. Keep an eye out for the Chesterfield Township Library Bookmobile as we continue finding new ways to bring the library into our community.

Movie Tuesday at the Library! 🎬

Join us on September 1 from 1:00–3:00 PM for an afternoon at the movies! This month, we're showing "Pressure" starring Andrew Scott and Brendan Fraser.

Set aboard a World War II submarine, "Pressure" follows a small crew of men tasked with a dangerous mission deep beneath the ocean. As conditions grow increasingly difficult, they must rely on each other to survive.

Come enjoy this gripping historical drama at the library!
