The undefeated Lynn Cobras saw their remarkable season come to an end in the second round of the ECYSA Tournament last weekend, finishing with their only loss of the season.
They opened the tournament with an exciting comeback victory over Andover Kane. After falling behind 0-2 early, Lynn battled back to take a 3-2 lead before Andover regained a slim 4-3 advantage at halftime. Refusing to back down, the Cobras dominated the second half with relentless defense, determined teamwork, and a flurry of offensive chances, scoring five unanswered goals to earn an impressive 8-4 win.
In Sunday's Semi-finals against Peabody Hurricane, the Cobras faced an uphill battle from the opening whistle. Four starters were unavailable for most of the first half, leaving Lynn without substitutes. Although reinforcements arrived late in the half, fatigue took its toll, and Peabody capitalized to secure a 6-0 victory—handing the Cobras their first and only defeat of the season.
While the tournament ended sooner than hoped, it does not define this team. Throughout the season, the Cobras demonstrated outstanding dedication, resilience, teamwork, and sportsmanship, earning their place among the league's best. The coaches couldn't be prouder of what this group accomplished and are excited to see what this talented team will achieve next season.

We made it to the semi finals, which was a feat in and of itself.
Our players worked hard to maintain their streak, but ultimately ended the season with their first and only loss to an incredibly talented Peabody team.
Despite the loss, we focus on the dedication, and grit each player demonstrated at each game, and every practice. They truly earned their spot in the tournament. We couldn't be more proud!
