🍓🌶️ Strawberry Jalapeño Cowboy Candy

Sweet, spicy, and irresistibly glossy — the ultimate flavor bomb for burgers, tacos, or snacks!

🛒 Ingredients:

2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled & sliced
1 cup fresh jalapeños, sliced into rings
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
👩‍🍳 Directions

1️⃣ Prep the Produce
Rinse everything well. Slice strawberries and cut jalapeños into rings. Remove seeds if you want to tone down the heat.

2️⃣ Make the Syrup
In a saucepan, whisk together sugar, apple cider vinegar, water, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a gentle simmer until fully dissolved.

3️⃣ Cook the Jalapeños
Add jalapeño slices and simmer for 4–5 minutes until slightly softened and infused.

4️⃣ Add the Strawberries
Gently stir in strawberries and cook for another 4–6 minutes over low-medium heat. Keep the berries intact for the best texture.

5️⃣ Reduce the Mixture
Simmer until glossy and lightly syrupy. Don’t over-thicken — it will set more as it cools.

6️⃣ Jar & Chill
Transfer hot mixture into a clean jar. Let cool completely, then refrigerate.

💡 Tips
Perfect as a topping for burgers, grilled chicken, or tacos 🌮
Try it over cream cheese for an easy party appetizer
The flavor gets even better after 24 hours in the fridge
