Photos from our recent turned wooden ornament workshop. We started with square blanks of wood and turned a profile that would become the inside of the ornament. The pieces were separated and turned around and glued in place, then the outside profile was turned. This was a lot of fun and we can't wait to see what people make on the lathes next!

Turned Wooden Ornaments at The Foundry

We have room for four people to join us in the woodshop on Tuesday, October 6th and Thursday, October 8th from 5-9 PM (both nights) to make inside-out turned wooden ornaments. Starting with a four-piece block, you'll turn your initial shape, then separate the pieces, turn them around, glue them together and turn your finished shape and then apply metal leaf and polish. Our experienced woodturners will be there to guide you through the process.
