Lyndon Institute is proud to honor the veterans in our community during Homecoming Weekend on Saturday, October 24! Please join us at Thompson Cottage for a reception at noon, followed by a special Veterans Recognition at 12:30 p.m. Then stay and cheer on our Vikings as LI takes on St. Johnsbury Academy in football at 1 p.m.! This is a wonderful opportunity for our LI community to come together, recognize the men and women who have served our country, and thank them for their service and sacrifice.

It’s time for The Game! The Vikings are taking on St. Johnsbury Academy on Saturday, October 24 at 1:00 PM on Robert K. Lewis Field for one of Vermont’s longest-standing high school football rivalries. This year student-designed Viking merchandise will be available for purchase, and the Booster Club will have food trucks on site, including Avalie’s Sweet Treats, Oh Crepes, and more. Most importantly, all proceeds from LI ticket sales will be donated to the Lyndonville Fire Department in honor of Captain Tim Nolan, LI Class of 1990. Come to LI, wear your maroon and white, and fill the stands for one of our greatest traditions. Go Vikes!

Our Wildlife Ecology students recently got to watch the monarch butterfly life cycle unfold in class. After discovering monarch caterpillars in the garden, students cared for and observed them as they formed their chrysalises and eventually emerged as butterflies. Last week they completed the experience by releasing the monarchs on campus!
