This year, we’ve raised the sails even higher with a brand-new sea shanty – “Talk Like a Pirate Day Shanty” – created by none other than Howie Taylor, with a little help from some clever AI magic. 🎶🤖🎤

Ahoy, me hearties! 🏴‍☠️

Today be a momentous occasion worthy of the loudest cheers and the shiniest treasures—15 years ago, the Krewe of Blackbeard’s Revenge hoisted its flag for the very first time! What started as a salty crew of adventurers with a daring dream to do good, has blossomed into a mighty fleet of compassion, fun, and fellowship. Together, we’ve charted a course not just for revelry, but for changing lives in the communities we hold dear.

To each mate who’s joined the ranks, supported our mission, or celebrated with us along the way—we can’t thank ye enough! You’ve lifted our sails with your spirit, your generosity, and your belief in what pirates like us can achieve. From parades to charity events, from deep belly laughs to heartfelt giving, you’ve been the wind in our sails and the treasure in our troves.

We raise our tankards high to Captain Kidd (Darrell) and Shotzie (Bobby), who dared dream this crew into existence and steered us true. Fifteen years of friendship, fun, and philanthropy would be naught without their steadfast leadership! The pirate life we share isn’t just about the garb and the dances—it’s about pulling together to make waves of difference that ripple across our communities.

And aye, this be but the beginning! The future is brimming with new adventures, brighter impacts, and even more tales to tell. As long as there be treasure to share and hearts to lift, the Krewe of Blackbeard’s Revenge will answer the call. So stick by us, shipmates, as we continue to sail onward with gusto and goodwill. On Feb 8, KBR took their yearly stroll down 7th Ave in YBOR and celebrated the KNIGHTS of SAINT YAGO KNIGHT PARADE. This is one of KBR'S favorite parades--PIRATES love sipping their GRAOG as their walk through Staging and look for their friends! And if you are lucky--your friends share their Spirits with you as you hug and chatter about the upcoming shenanigans!

The next (and last) parade of the season is MARCH 15 in Tampa at 3PM....Grab your WE LOVE KBR signs and we will see you there!
