Hi everyone,

It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce that our beloved Clydesdale, Rain, has passed away.

Dad is not handling Rain’s passing very well; he understands that it was her time, but the suddenness of it has been a real shock. Just last week her farrier of 20 years said she looked great, so how quickly everything happened caught him completely off guard.

Over the years, Dad grew very close to her and knew how much Mom loved her. Rain was 22 years old, which is a good age for a Clydesdale.

Though we are absolutely heartbroken to lose her, we are taking comfort in the fact that Rain not only passed away without any suffering, but was also surrounded by those she loved, and died on the very grounds she was born and raised on.

We hope you all will think of the best memories you have of our Rain, and be happy to hear that my mother, Karen Cromer Clark, and her "giant lawn ornament" she loved so dearly have been reunited again.

Hi Everyone,

Will here with some pictures Bill was able to send me with some familiar faces.

Buddy the Moustached Parakeet says hello to all his internet friends and was hoping someone might be able to donate a bucket or two or nutri-berries for he and his other feathered friends to eat this month. We're down to one last bucket and the birds really love them.

Also, Rain says hello! She's doing well out on the farm, and wants to thank everyone who has been kind enough to donate via Paypal to keep her well fed with hay and feed. Bill brushes her every day and gives her lots of love.

If anyone wants to help Buddy and Rain with some donations, we do have an Amazon Wish List (with Buddy's Nutri-Berries on the list!) and we do accept donations via paypal at [email protected].

The animals, Bill, and myself all deeply appreciate your kindness and your help to keep Karen's legacy alive and well cared for.

Bill is having some plumbing issues at the farm; would any of Karen's old handyman friends be able to help out and volunteer some time fixing some minor problems?

Hello Dear Friends and Supporters,

As we approach the holiday season, I find myself reflecting on the incredible legacy that my dear mother has left behind through her passion for caring for animals. In her memory, I'm reaching out to you with a heartfelt request.

We would be immensely grateful if you could consider supporting our non-profit organization, Karen's greatest legacy. Your generosity will not only honor her memory but also contribute to the well-being of the wonderful creatures she dedicated her life to.

Ways to Support:

- Donate:

You can make a monetary contribution through PayPal to [email protected]. Every little bit helps and goes directly towards caring for these beautiful animals.

- Amazon Wish List:

Check out our Amazon Wish List (https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1ND98T3N6YRJY?ref_=wl_share) and consider purchasing items that will make a significant impact on the comfort and care of the animals we look after.

This holiday season, your support would not only be a beautiful gesture but a lasting gift to Bill, the animals, and the organization as a whole. Your kindness will help us continue the important work that my mother held so close to her heart.

Please feel free to share this post and spread the word. Together, we can make a difference and carry on the legacy of love and compassion she instilled in us.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering this request. Your support means the world to us.

With gratitude,
Will Clark

We don't often do a lot of posting on our social media because, as Karen used to say, "it can suck a lot of time away from the animals." But we know you would all want to be made aware of the passing of an old friend.

We received word from the person who was Spunky Clark's caretaker that her time was drawing short. After her time in the limelight with Karen, chasing paper towel monsters and inspiring thousands of adoring fans, Spunky retired away to a safe location away from those aiming to hurt Karen and her loved ones. Upon hearing the news that Spunky would be leaving us soon, we all made a trip to visit her one last time.

Like so many starlets before her, Spunky had grown into a sassy and spoiled old lady in her old age. Trading her paper towel battles for long walks in the sunlight and nightly pampering massages, she wanted for nothing. When we reunited, she was elated to see us all once again. We chatted and played like the good old days, even getting to bring one last paper towel monster for Spunky to slay.

This morning, on June 8th, 2023, Spunky joined Karen and her many many friends in the great beyond. While we all mourn the loss of our little Spunky, we celebrate the time we had with her and know she is happy to be back the arms of her mother, free to play and frolic forever.

Before she left, Spunky gave us one last inspiring message she learned from Karen: "You're never guaranteed a tomorrow; so live every day to its fullest."

Good bye for now, Spunky. We all love you and know you're watching over us with the same happy face you never lost after all these years.

Ferret Friday! Did you know that ferrets, like cats, are obligate carnivores? This means that they must have meat in their diet, and cannot survive on anything other than meat.

Many ferrets are fed a subpar diet of kibbles that are full of non-meat fillers, leading to a number of life threatening diseases like insulinomas and other cancers.

Here at Lovely Lita's, all of our ferrets are fed a raw diet of only meats. And they love it!

Ferret Friday! It's dinner time and everybody's excited.
