Collaboration over competition

Unstoppable You Ministries, Inc. mission is to provide services to individuals and families experiencing domestic violence, human trafficking, and homelessness. Although these are some tough issues, it is our desire to provide a proactive approach by hosting events around the country that empower with strategies and resources. These conferences, seminars, workshops, and summits are successful because we collaborate with some incredible organizations who get it!! WE can move mountains when WE come together!!

Today we hosted a powerful Safety & Self-Defense Workshop in collaboration with Method Gym in Mechanicsville, Maryland—the room was full, fully engaged, and locked in.

This wasn’t just about learning how to fight. It was about learning how to think.

Glenn Miller broke it down in a way that shifted everything: the goal is to return home safely every single night. And the first strategy? Avoidance. Awareness. Positioning.

Not fear—but wisdom.

We were challenged to move from a victim mindset to a survivor mentality. That means we’re not walking through life on defense, waiting for something to happen. We are on offense—alert, aware, and intentional about how we move.

Glenn and Karl Herr then demonstrated how to actually use that awareness to your advantage—how to read situations, how to respond, and what to do if you cannot avoid an altercation.

Because sometimes avoidance isn’t an option
 and in those moments, preparation matters.

A special thank you to Kelly Courtney and Method Gym for opening your space to us and helping make this experience possible.

These are the kinds of sessions we need more of. Because once you have the knowledge, you don’t move the same anymore.
