East John Youth Center, Inc. The EJYC is a non-profit 501 c (3) organization founded on March 12, 1984. The vision for the center was conceptualized by its founder the late Rev. Mervin C.

We are multi-use facility located in Lusby, Maryland nestled privately on 7 acres of land equipped with a nature trail, junior olympic-sized pool and pool house, a full-sized outdoor basketball court, and a covered pavilion. Inside the facility houses a large multipurpose room, commercial kitchen, a computer lab, and a reading room. Gray when he came up with the idea of converting the old parsonag

e into a recreational center for youth. Our vision is to provide a safe environment for youth and families to convene. Our mission is to foster resiliency among youth and families through educational, nutritional, and recreational programs. We aim to provide opportunities for involvement in programs and activities that promote youth engagement in school, home, and in the community.

Join the University of Maryland Extension ENR team on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 12 PM for a hands-on, family-friendly workshop on everything you need to know about rain barrels!
