Something I've been praying about lately.
Every community has a creative minority.
The builders. The pioneers. The visionaries. The people willing to take a chance on an idea that doesn't exist yet and work tirelessly to bring it to life.
A game changer isn't necessarily the richest person, the most famous person, or the person with the biggest title. A game changer is someone who changes the trajectory of a community and leaves it better than they found it.
When I think about people who have helped shape Lubbock through business, philanthropy, the arts, sports, ministry, and community leadership, a few names come to mind:
Tim Collins.
Mike Gustafson.
Rick Betenbough.
Randy Christian.
George McMahan.
Jeanna Roach.
Don Caldwell.
Not because they all think alike, but because they saw opportunities where others saw obstacles and helped leave a lasting mark on our community.
It makes me wonder:
Who are the people quietly shaping the future of Lubbock today?
The builders.
The connectors.
The risk-takers.
The people willing to pursue a vision long before anyone else can see it.
If someone comes to mind, I'd love for you to tag them here.
