Some kids carry more than backpacks.

In Lorain County and across Northeast Ohio, many children are quietly carrying the emotional weight of having a loved one struggling with addiction. The feelings are often invisible, but they are very real.

Three C Club exists to give kids a safe space to talk, connect, and realize they’re not alone.

Last night marked a big moment for Three C Club 🤍
We held our very first session with 7 incredible kids, ages 8–17.

The night was about connection, laughter, and creating a space where kids feel safe being themselves. We focused on getting to know one another and identifying the loved one in their life impacted by addiction, without pressure and without labels.

We are so grateful to First Congregational Church UCC for opening their doors and helping us create a welcoming, supportive environment where everyone belongs.

This is just the beginning. 💙

Addiction doesn’t just affect individuals. It impacts families, children, and entire communities.

In Lorain County and across Ohio, the numbers are staggering:
➡️ 1 in 5 children live with a parent who struggles with addiction
➡️ 70% of adults with substance use disorders first used as teens
➡️ We lose over 3,000 Ohioans every year due to overdose

But there is hope. 🌟 With prevention, peer support, and community, we can break the cycle.
