Tomorrow is a busy one at Longview Lodge #263!

☕ Coffee & Donuts — Saturday, July 18, 12:00–1:00 PM at the Lodge (823 7th Ave). Come by for a donut and some good company. Bring a friend who's curious about the Lodge — this is an easy way to meet us.

🍔 Lodge BBQ — Saturday evening starting at 5:00 PM at the Lodge, and we'll go until the food runs out. Good food, good company, no gavel in sight.

🎒 School Supply Drive — going on now through September 1. Drop off notebooks, pens and pencils, crayons, backpacks, calculators, and more in the entry hall of the Lodge. Every donation goes to Longview School District schools. Supply lists: www.longviewschools.com/family-resources/school-supply-lists

And looking ahead: 🥔 Cowlitz DeMolay's Crown & Sword potato booth is back at the Cowlitz County Fair, July 22–25, in the food building from noon to 11 PM. Loaded baked potatoes, nachos, chili, and cold drinks — proceeds support Cowlitz DeMolay and other groups that help make the booth happen. Come hungry and support Cowlitz DeMolay!

These students are the winners of the “Bikes for Books”. Our students worked so hard on their reading this school year!

“Bikes for Books” is a program to encourage reading in 2nd grade students. Evidence shows that schools participating in the program are witnessing improved reading scores among their students. Books also enlighten, inspire, bring happiness and success, challenge our perspectives and provide comfort at difficult times in our lives.

Longview Lodge No. 263 joins our community in mourning after the tragic industrial incident at Nippon Dynawave Packaging.

Our prayers and deepest sympathy are with the families of those who lost their lives, those still awaiting news, those injured, their coworkers, and the first responders and support personnel serving during this difficult time.

At this time, we are working to identify verified ways our Lodge and the greater Masonic family can appropriately support those affected. We encourage anyone wishing to help to use only verified family support, meal train, or donation links shared by trusted local sources.

If anyone in the Masonic family has been directly impacted, please contact the Lodge privately so we can offer support as appropriate.

In times of sorrow, our duty is simple: to comfort, to support, and to stand with our community.
