For those who may be new here, my name is Kuleesha Milton, founder of the Gakobe Strong Foundation.
The foundation was created in honor of my son, Gakobe “Kobe” Milton — an amazing young man, student-athlete, identical twin, and fighter who battled osteosarcoma with strength, courage, and a smile that inspired so many. After losing Kobe, I made a promise to continue his legacy by turning pain into purpose and creating impact in the community through love, youth empowerment, advocacy, scholarships, and support for families facing hardship.
This journey has not been easy, but God continues to open doors. Earlier this month, HB 1284 was officially signed into law as the “Gakobe Milton Bill” — a moment our family will never forget. 💙
Through the Gakobe Strong Foundation, we’ve been blessed to host meaningful events that bring families and communities together, including:
✨ “Every Little Step I Take” / “I’m Stronger With Every Step I Make” Gakobe Strong 5K Walk
✨ “Walking in His Legacy” Mother–Son Sneaker Ball
✨ Community outreach efforts, youth support initiatives, and upcoming scholarship opportunities through the Forever Strong Scholarship

📍 Lawrenceville, Georgia -Gakobe Strong Foundation and Love Out Loud Presents- Father’s Day Appreciation — June 20, 2026 from 4 PM–8 PM 💙
📍 Detroit, Michigan – Gakobe Strong 5K Walk at AB Ford Park on August 15, 2026
📍 Continued community events, partnerships, advocacy work, and youth initiatives through the foundation
