Michigan Operation Freedom Outdoors

Michigan Operation Freedom Outdoors We believe the outdoors can heal, connect, and restore—especially for wounded veterans and those facing health challenges.

Through strong partnerships, we create accessible outdoor recreation opportunities. We’d love for you to be part of this mission. We are thrilled to present a sneak peek of our first DAP merchandise release, which includes fifty hats and fifty shirts. When our new website is live and the stock is sold out, we will apply the generated revenue towards constructing a blind in recognition of our loyal customers' support. Each supporter will have their name put on a plaque and built into the blind. This endeavour highlights the synergy of our community and represents the first of several projects that will be brought to fruition through your patronage.

The start of hunting season is a significant event, marking the time when many enthusiasts plan their trips. For those who believed their hunting days were over due to accessibility concerns, we want to assure you that opportunities are available. Michigan offers various locations with accessible blinds and tracked wheelchairs that can be reserved with a phone call. We've placed 34 accessible blinds around the state, primarily on public land. Everyone can participate without the need for exclusive clubs or expensive memberships. Public land is for everyone to enjoy as they see fit.

As soon as our new and improved website is up and running, we'll be offering merch drops that will give you all the opportunity to play a role in expanding the mission we love to carry out. Expanding access for all! The disabled access program will expand rapidly with the help of our great community. Every person that purchases our merch will have their names put on a plaque that will be built into the blind to proudly display the ones who made the project happen! We're very excited for this, and will be looking for public and private land. The private land DAP properties will not only receive a blind, but will get tax breaks just like HAP properties. Win, win for everyone involved. The freedom outdoors is about to reach further. Exactly why we started this venture 12 years ago! We've come a long way from a pop up blind and a tracked wheelchair and we have our communities to thank.
