Calling all senior Tigers fans!

Join the Livonia Senior Wellness Center in just ONE MONTH on Wednesday, July 22, for a memorable Comerica Park Tour, departing from the Livonia Senior Wellness Center at 8:15 a.m. and returning around 1:15 p.m. Enjoy a 1.5‑hour guided experience beginning at 9 a.m., which may include stops such as the Press Box, Ernie Harwell Media Center, Jim Beam Champions Club, Kaline’s Corner, Hall of Fame Statues, the Hi‑Chew Carousel and Ferris Wheel, the Center Field Camera Well, on‑field photo opportunities, the dugout, and locker rooms.

This rain‑or‑shine outing also includes lunch at Slow’s Bar BQ following the tour. Open to adults 55+, the trip runs from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and costs $92 for residents and $97 for non‑residents. Resident registration opens in person on Tuesday, June 2 at 9 a.m., with online and non‑resident registration opening at 11 a.m. if space remains. For questions, call 734‑466‑2555

It all starts tomorrow...

Livonia Spree 2026 is a six‑day community festival held June 23–28 at Ford Field in Livonia, celebrating the city’s 76th anniversary with rides, food, live entertainment, and family activities. The carnival runs daily, opening at 4 p.m. June 23, 2 p.m. June 24–26, and noon June 27–28, while major events include nightly live music, a co****le tournament on June 23, a car show and a 5k fun run June 28, and the festival‑closing fireworks on June 28 at 10:15 p.m. Find the full list of entertainment, events, and more through the Livonia Spree web page: LivoniaSpree.com

Start your summer with a walk through five lovely Livonia gardens! Join us 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 27, to tour five private gardens located throughout the City and the Simmons-Hill House gardens. Tickets are available online or in person at the Greenmead Office or at the Bennett Civic Center Library for $12.

Tickets may also be purchased the day of for $12 at the Bennett Civic Center Library, 32777 Five Mile Road, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and the Simmons-Hill House at Greenmead, 20501 Newburgh Road, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please be prepared to pay with cash or check only.

No, this isn't a photo from decades ago...

Come visit yesterday this summer and take a tour of the village buildings. Self-paced tours are from 1 - 4 p.m. Sunday, June 28, Begin at Delia's Treasures Gift Shop (located by the stop sign) for your admission pass. Docents will be in each building to share information and answer questions. For the comfort and safety of all guests, pets are not allowed in the tour buildings. This guided session walks attendees step‑by‑step through building a miniature ecosystem inside a glass jar, with all materials provided. Just bring your imagination. The workshop takes place Wednesday, July 8, 6-7:30 p.m., with registration open through July 3. The Livonia Spree 5K is back for 2026, and there’s still plenty of time to join the fun on Sunday, June 28. This community‑friendly walk/run kicks off at 8:30 a.m. from the Eddie Edgar Ice Arena parking lot (33841 Lyndon) and wraps up with a delicious pancake breakfast. While the June 5 T‑shirt guarantee deadline has passed, registration remains open through Thursday, June 25, and remaining shirts will be available on a first‑come, first‑served basis. Early packet pickup will be held Friday, June 26, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Kirksey Recreation Center, with day‑of pickup starting at 7:30 a.m. The cost is just $7.60 through our online catalog, and participants of all ages and paces are welcome. Don’t miss your chance to run, walk, enjoy pancakes, and celebrate the 2026 Spree.
