It is with great sadness that we share the news of Janeen Webber's sudden passing on May 10th. Janeen was a wonderful part of this community and will be greatly missed. The family has asked us to pass along the information for her Celebration of Life, which will be held on Saturday, June 13th, from 2 to 6 PM at the Dakota Lodge at 14422 West Ken Caryl Avenue, Littleton, Colorado. Please keep her family and friends in your prayers or thoughts as they navigate through their grief.

On Sunday, 4/12, an orphaned 6-pound baby bear was rescued in Deer Creek Canyon. Locals checked on the bear all day and into the night. The mama never came for the bear, nor was seen in the area. Some speculation is that perhaps the mother was hit by a car or some other unfortunate incident. Anyone spot a dead or injured bear recently? If so, notify DOW as soon as possible. The baby is doing fine and in a rehab facility. He will be released in the fall. ❤️
