"🎶Reunited and it feels so good....🎶"
That's how Smooth Ashlar Grand Lodge is feeling today as a very important piece of its history is back where it belongs.
Mr. Terri Nales of Jonesboro, GA reached out to SAGL through Facebook Messenger recently thinking that he had something they may be interested in.
"My girlfriend was helping [clean up a house] following an eviction and came across some things that the owner had and didn’t take with him," Nales said.
Those "things" were the original warrant and tube for Burkshire Lodge #664 (Atlanta, GA) and the Certificate of Adoption between Burkshire and Friendly Star Chapter #18 Order of Eastern Star.
"I was thinking, 'I've got to get these back to them'", said Nales.
"It's not mine to have."
Deputy Grand Master, Bro. Herschel Grangent Jr. followed up with Nales through Facebook Messenger and arranged for Grand Tyler, Bro. Chris Meadows and Special Deputy Grand Master, Bro. Hardy Blash Jr. to meet up with Nales and retrieve this important piece of Grand Lodge history.
SAGL is truly grateful to Mr. Nales.
"I'm always willing to do what's right," said Nales.
"Glad it's back where it belongs."
