💙 What an exciting day for Linton! Check out the now and then photos!
The brand-new pool liner is installed and is something our community has hoped and worked toward for a long time. The transformation is incredible, and every step forward brings us closer to welcoming families back to the A.M. Risher Pool.
These photos celebrate where we are today, but they also remind us of the journey that began in May 2025.
For the past 15 months, the A.M. Risher Pool Revitalization Project, our volunteer 501(c)(3), has worked alongside the City of Linton, local government, businesses, organizations, and hundreds of generous supporters who believed our community deserved more than simply restoring the pool.
Together, our community has raised more than $130,000 through private donations, sponsorships, grants, and fundraising events—all while building partnerships and advocating for a long-term vision for our community’s aquatic center.
We are incredibly grateful that the City of Linton has stepped forward to fund the essential infrastructure needed to restore the pool, including the new liner and other critical repairs. Their investment, combined with support from the Township Trustee, Greene County Foundation, local contractors, and so many others, has made this exciting progress possible.
That investment also creates an incredible opportunity.
Because the essential repairs are being addressed by the City, the generosity of our donors can now go even further. Rather than simply funding emergency repairs, private donations can now be invested in enhancements that will transform the pool into a destination for families across the region. The City saved the liner so we could focus on the fun stuff!
From the very beginning, our mission has never been just to bring the pool back to where it was.
Our vision has always been to create a modern aquatic facility that gives families more reasons to visit, attracts regional events, increases attendance, and provides an experience that competes with the best community pools in our area.
That means raised funds and future fundraising can focus on exciting improvements such as:
* 💦 Family-friendly water attractions
* 🏊 Additional recreation features
* 🧗 Interactive amenities like a climbing wall
* 🌊 Future water slides and other attractions
* 📄 Matching funds for grants for continued improvements that make the A.M. Risher Pool a place families want to visit again and again
Today’s progress belongs to an entire community.
Thank you to the City of Linton, the Township Trustee, Greene County Foundation, RenoSys, Diamond Electric, Whitfield Concrete, JBL, our volunteers, our business sponsors, every donor, every elected official who supported this effort, and every resident who believed this pool was worth saving.
This project has never been about one person or one organization. It has always been about a community coming together with a shared vision.
We’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come, and we’re even more excited about what’s ahead.
The pool is being restored. Together, we’ll make it extraordinary. 💙🏊
