In light of our recent loss, Sheldon Belcher and I are hosting a fundraiser to benefit a charity that supports families who have experienced similar situations. Our goal is to raise awareness regarding the importance of understanding one's rights during the grieving process, regardless of the gestation period. Unfortunately, I was not provided with this information when I lost my son Deacon at 15 weeks gestation, and I was only given the option to terminate my pregnancy without proper services for him. However, with the help of my loved ones, I was able to lay Deacon to rest and bring him home.
