It’s been awhile and I wanted to reintroduce myself. My name is Laura and I’m the founder and director of Sarama Animal Rescue.
Sarama Animal Rescue was inspired by the animals that need us most. They have taught us about unconditional love, about trusting even when you’re vulnerable and about resilience and hope even after trauma. This rescue is our way to honor them and to give back to them.
Sarama is mostly a foster based rescue but we do have a small micro sanctuary in Salem County, NJ.
The costs of running a rescue and sanctuary add up fast. Food, routine vet care, emergencies, preventatives and behavior support are just some of our expenses. For almost the last year our expenses have exceeded donations every month and we are desperate to pay off our bills and get out of the red.
We could really use help.
Our biggest fundraiser, our online auction is currently happening now. We currently have over 100 items to bid on including gift cards and event tickets. You can even sponsor a sanctuary animal through our auction. Every bid helps raise funds for the animals.
