Code Blue Alert Notification
Issued pursuant to New Jersey State Law, P.L.2019, Chapter 427

The Camden County Office of Emergency Management has declared a Code Blue Alert for the following dates and times due to projected dangerously low temperatures by the National Weather Service:

Saturday November 22nd, 7:00 PM – Sunday November 23rd, 7:00 AM
β€’ Projected temperature: 32Β°F

*Note: Temperatures are subject to updates based on weather conditions.

In accordance with state law, all municipalities must activate their Code Blue Response Plans to provide shelter and support for vulnerable populations during these periods.

For assistance or to report individuals in need of shelter, please contact the After-Hours Code Blue Emergency Hotline by dialing 2-1-1.

Stay informed and take necessary precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of at-risk community members.

Monday, July 28th, 11AM to Wednesday, July 30th, 8PM
β€’ Heat index values up to 104 degrees expected

*Note: Temperatures are subject to updates based on weather conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS:

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, avoid the sun, and check on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

A new wave of legislation and audits could cut into our funding big time. Provider taxes? GEMT? Retroactive coverage? It’s all under threat.
