Are you a young writer or do you have a youngster in your family who is interested in writing short stories? Then, join author James L’Etoile for a discussion and learning session on short story writing. He will share examples of effective short stories and what will make your fiction stand out.

Come to the Lincoln Public Library for this FREE in-person visit with Rosanne McHenry. Ms. McHenry is author of the award-winning "Tales from a Rogue Ranger," based on her time working as a National Park Ranger and a California State Park Ranger. She will share her experiences both as a writer and park ranger, followed by a Q&A session and book signing. Her book will be available for purchase at the event. Hope to see you there!

Searching for a “cool” place to take the kids on a hot summer day. Look no further than the Lincoln Public Library!
--Head to the Children’s Library desk to enroll in the Summer Reading Challenge.
--Participate in fun activities, including: “Where is Booker? Seek and Find,” “Book Scavenger Hunt” using the Dewey Decimal system, “Find the Monuments” to explore the library's children's collection
--Uncover the “Mystery of the Missing Tiara” with weekly clues, visible only through a code deciphering magnifying glass.
--Grab take-home craft packets (while supplies last).
--Check out library books to keep young ones engaged in reading over the summer.

Pop some popcorn with your favorite buddy, put away the cell phones and tablets, and have a fun night of entertainment. Our shelves are bursting! Large selection of recent hardback fiction 2023-2027 and beautiful cookbooks at the ridiculously low price of $3, jigsaw puzzles from $1 to $3, and DVDs, Blu-rays, music CDs and audio books from 50¢ to $1. Children’s and teen books are a steal at 50¢ each. We also have a selection of vintage, collectible, rare, and gift-worthy books. Stock up now, since the next BIG Saturday sale is not until November!
