A little time outside goes a long way ☀️🌳

Ms. Faroutine’s Kindergarten 3 students at St. Luc School stepped outside this week to observe the natural world around them — observing and learning together.

With warm October days and the rainy season bringing new growth to Thomassique, there is plenty to see and discover right outside the classroom. 🌱

As we look forward to the future of St. Luc, we’re dreaming of creating a more welcoming green space on campus — a place where our students can play, gather with friends, explore nature, and simply enjoy being outside.

For now, we’re grateful for moments like these, and we’re excited to imagine what’s possible 💙

A Huge Milestone at St. Luc School! 🙌🌟

For the first time in St. Luc School’s history, seven students are beginning 9th Grade!

Reaching this milestone is a remarkable achievement — not only for St. Luc, but in the broader context of education in Haiti. Students are lost from the education system throughout the fundamental education cycle, and according to UNESCO , about 40% of Haitian students drop out before completing 9th Grade (the final year of fundamental education).

For these seven St. Luc students, reaching 9th Grade represents years of hard work, perseverance, and commitment to their education.

This will be an especially important year. At the end of the 2026-2027 school year, they will have the opportunity to take Haiti’s national 9th Year Fundamental examinations, which mark the completion of fundamental education and the transition to secondary school.

These students aren’t just St. Luc’s first 9th Grade class. They are the trail blazers for the students who will follow them ♥️

We are incredibly proud of this inaugural class and excited to watch them take on this important year! 👏

The new school year is underway at St. Luc School! 📚

Students are back in the classrooms in Thomassique, Haiti, and they’re already hard at work! ✏️📖

The 2026-2027 school year officially began on September 7th, and 405 students are enrolled at St. Luc this year. After a busy summer, it’s wonderful to see the classrooms filled again with students learning, writing, studying, and getting back into the rhythm of school.

This year, St. Luc has made an intentional effort to reduce class sizes, particularly in the younger grades, giving teachers more opportunity to provide individual attention and support to their students’ learning.

We’re excited for all that this school year will bring — new challenges, new growth, and new opportunities for the amazing students of St. Luc ♥️

Thank you to our HEADCorp community for helping make their education possible!

🇭🇹⚽ Today is the day!!!

Haiti returns to the FIFA World Cup for the first time in more than 50 years, and we couldn’t be prouder of the Haitian National Team for this incredible accomplishment. Despite the many challenges their country has faced in recent years, they have earned their place on soccer’s biggest stage and given Haitians around the world a reason to celebrate.

The students, families, and staff of St. Luc School in Thomassique are proudly cheering on their country as Haiti takes on Scotland today, and we hope you’ll tune in and join us in supporting Les Grenadiers.

Grenadye Alaso! 🇭🇹❤️💙

🇭🇹 Happy Haitian Heritage Month! 💙♥️

Did you know? Haiti was the first free Black republic in the world and the first independent Caribbean nation, gaining its independence in 1804 after a successful slave revolution. Haiti’s history is one of extraordinary courage, strength, and resilience — qualities that continue to shine through its people and communities today.

Education is deeply valued in Haitian culture. Across Haiti, families make incredible sacrifices to ensure their children have the opportunity to attend school, learn, and build a brighter future. The determination and pride students bring to their education is truly inspiring.

Throughout Haitian Heritage Month, we celebrate the rich culture, history, art, music, language, and spirit of Haiti and the resilience of the Haitian people. At HEADCorp, it is an honor to walk alongside the students, families, and communities we support every day. 🇭🇹✨

This school year has flown by! ✏️📓

St. Luc has just 6 weeks left in the 2025-2026 school year, and students are staying focused as they prepare for final exams next month. Classrooms are filled with hard work, determination, and excitement as everyone pushes toward the finish line. We are incredibly proud of all they’ve accomplished this year! 👏

It’s been a year full of growth, learning, and opportunity, and we are so thankful for the support that makes this education possible. 💙

Recess at St Luc 💙

Every day, nearly 200 kindergarten students across three classes — from our youngest 3-year-olds to our oldest 6-year-olds — pour into this space to run, laugh, and simply be kids. The joy and energy they bring fills every corner of it.

But this “playground” is just a dirt lot — no equipment, no seating, no shade structures. Just open space and big imaginations.

We believe these students deserve more.

As part of our long-term vision to compete the St. Luc campus by 2030, we’re beginning to reimagine what this space could become — green space, play equipment, and dedicated seating for meals and gathering. A place designed not just for movement, but for growth, rest, and dignity.

✨Stay tuned! There’s much more to come. We can’t wait to share what’s ahead! 👀
