Don't forget that tomorrow is our last day of open water week! We will be pulling out the lane lines and learning how to navigate bouys - shifting from last practice's focus on safety towards racing. Come join us at 7AM at the Lincoln City Community Center for this, or any other practice, Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

We are looking forward to this new partnership as we continue to expand our network for promoting water safety and building up our local swimming communities! Don't know how to swim? The Lincoln City Community Center offers level 1 and 2 adult swim lessons as well as offerings of the USMS Adult Learn-to-Swim safety course. Check out their website for more information.

We are excited to share that the nonprofit Lincoln City Masters Swim has generously volunteered their time and expertise to help train our crews as we continue developing our Surf Rescue Team and enhancing our Surface Water and Swift Water Rescue capabilities.

Their specialized training will help our personnel improve swimming skills, water confidence, rescue techniques, and overall performance in challenging aquatic environments, helping us better serve our community.

Many people know U.S. Masters Swimming for fitness and competition, but they also support programs that help adults build confidence in the water and learn essential water safety skills through their many USMS Adult Learn-to-Swim affiliate programs. Through a partnership with the City of Lincoln City, Lincoln City Masters Swim helps provide these and other local opportunities for people of all skill levels to become safer and more capable in the water.

As an agency that responds to water emergencies, we encourage everyone to seek out water safety education and swimming instruction opportunities available in our region. Learning basic water safety skills can make a difference for you, your family, and our community.

Thank you to Lincoln City Masters Swim for helping us build stronger water rescue capabilities and a safer coastal community. 💙

🏊‍♂️ Happy International Water Safety Day from Lincoln City Masters Swim! 🌊

Water safety looks different for everyone. We are working to protect our community through two distinct initiatives:

🔹 USMS Adult-Learn-to-Swim Grant: Securing funding to cover student tuition for adults with no water experience taking lessons provided by Lincoln City Parks & Recreation

🔹 Open Water Week (June 16 & 18): Training proficient swimmers to recognize and handle the unique hazards of natural environments.

Come join us for our regular workouts!
🗓️ Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
⏰ Time: 7:00 AM
📍 Location: Lincoln City Community Center
