Mr. Snyder's 1777 lecture series is back at the Pottstown Library this fall! Learn all about the events that occurred when the Revolutionary War came to our area in southeastern Pennsylvania. This series will take place on Wednesdays, starting with Wednesday, November 11th at 6:00pm. Please email [email protected] to sign up & ask any questions.

We are thrilled to boost this special event from our Park neighbors at the Washington Memorial Chapel!

Join them on Friday, October 30th for Grave Tales at Valley Forge, a guided, candlelit tour of the historic Washington Memorial Cemetery! Timed group tours start at 5:00 PM, just as the sun sets over the Park.

Led by experts from the Chapel and the King of Prussia Historical Society, this unique 45-minute tour introduces you to the military heroes, artists, and families who rest on these historic grounds.

All ages are welcome, but tickets are limited and must be booked in advance.

PROGRAM CHANGE NOTICE! Tonight's program will be about the Evangelical Church Cemetery in Limerick. Dr. Magner had an unexpected meeting in his home township.
Several members got together and created the program on short notice.

Dr. Magner will be addressing our society about George Washington taking charge of the Continental Army. Monday October 12 at 7:00 p.m. at Limerick Township municipal building. MW

What would you do if you got hurt during the Revolution?

Find out on October 17th at the Peter Wentz Farmstead. For October's Colonial Saturday, we'll be joined by Dr. Frederick Magner for a presentation on Revolutionary War Medicine. Home-grown American physician-surgeons were independent, outspoken, and fiercely patriotic. Faced with a medical crisis in Washington’s army, without guidelines or supplies, no organization, and very little support from Congress, they provided critical care for the sick and wounded.

Program will run from 11 to 1 and include a PowerPoint presentation and display of historic medical tools. Admission is free and open to the public. Please sign up at the link below to let us know you're coming. Hope to see you there!
