Sea Scout Ship Decisive

Sea Scout Ship Decisive Kauai Sea Scouts Aloha from the crew of Decisive! We are a youth adventure program based on the island of Kauai in Hawaii, and we go cruising!

Our mission is to learn about life while we cruise aound Hawaii as the crew of Decisive. Our youth come from all walks of life with very diverse backgrounds, but they all find their place on Decisive. Our program is sponsored by an IRS 501(c)3 non-profit called, "Hawaii Youth Maritime Programs". They own and insure our boat, and we do the rest. We use the curriculum of a national organization, but

we receive no funding from them. Decisive is a co-ed program offered to young adults between the ages of 14 and 21. It's a chance to learn and have fun at the same time.

Thank you Surfrider Foundation Kauai Chapter!
We noticed a post from Surfrider Foundation showing them retrieving a large black fender during their Moloaa beach clean up.
That looks a lot like our fenders, and we were just there. Is it possible a fender fell overboard and we didn't notice, only to have it end up on Moloaa beach?
Some phone calls were made and lost night Surfrider Foundation came by our meeting to return our fender.
But...
It turns out it wasn't ours! Its a relief to know that we aren't accidentally leaving stuff on the beaches, and it'd be a shame to let a perfectly good fender go to waste, so...
Thank you Surfrider Foundation for our new fender!
