Kauai Sailing Association Learn how to sail. The best thing you'll ever do! KSA promotes amateur sailing, safe boating, marine education and exploration.

We maintain a group of trained instructors, a fleet of 23 boats, and a plethora of marine educational programs.

As we get back on our feet, we try to remember what it is that brings life into the program: the youth and their love for sailing. We are still raising funds to rebuild the damage left behind by Hurricane Lowell, while trying to keep costs as low as possible for all our sailors. Lowell brought damages to our roof, windows, some walls, and boats, but not any damages to our spirits! Any amount of monetary donation to the links on our website is both needed and appreciated. If you are able to, GoFundMe has the option of leaving monthly auto donations. We are eager to get back to smooth sailing, and cherish our community of supporters 💗

🌊 Help KSA Rebuild After Hurricane Lowell! ⛵

Hurricane Lowell caused major damage to Kauaʻi Sailing Association’s waterfront home at Nāwiliwili Small Boat Harbor. Our clubhouse roof was severely damaged, and boats in our fleet were lost or badly damaged.

While we are fortunate to have insurance, we know there will be major out-of-pocket costs. We also lost one of our keelboats, and our new Lasers were damaged.

Our community has already shown up in an incredible way—keiki, families, members, and volunteers worked side-by-side to clean up debris, recover roofing from the Hulēʻia River and mangroves, and begin the rebuilding process. 💙

Now we’re asking for your help. We are fundraising so we don’t have to divert funds from our keiki programs to pay for storm repairs. Every dollar spent on rebuilding is money that would otherwise support sailing, Marine STEM education, camps, field trips, scholarships, and environmental stewardship.

Unfortunately, we are going to have to cancel this weeks After School Clubs in accordance with the counties brown water advisory. We are planning to restart after school clubs next week, and hope that the south bound traffic isn't too nuts for all our south-side sailors! This also gives us some more time to once again, comb through the grass and remove the rest of the hidden nails, tacks, and glass, all in hopes to be able to run around barefoot, as Kauaʻi sailors do 🤙 in the meantime, some pictures from our last After School Club

Yesterday was our community work day, and we got more cleaned than what we planned! Mahalo to everyone who brought ice, snacks, tools, trailers, and those who sat in hours of traffic. Mahalo for working hard in the sun, and doing the work with such a positive attitude. We truly could not have gotten all this done without you. This is just the beginning of what will be a few long weeks of hard work, and what a way to get the ball moving. Mahalo to Kauai Photographer for the pictures of our amazing community members.
