My heart is full! 💜 Over the past couple of weeks since our Chiari’s Little Warriors walk, I’ve been delivering raffle prizes and meeting up with our winners—and seeing their smiles has been such a joy!

A HUGE thank-you to everyone who purchased raffle tickets, helped sell them, or donated a prize. Every ticket was another way to support our mission and the children and families we serve.

Today, Sydney and I had the opportunity to attend another Chiari awareness walk, and it truly touched our hearts. 💜

This walk was held for a little boy, JoJo, who was diagnosed with Chiari at just 1 year old and has already undergone decompression surgery. Today marked their 2nd Annual JoJo’s Super Squad Walk, and it was so special to see the love, support, and awareness this family is bringing to the Chiari community.

Hearing Brittany, JoJo’s mom, share their story was incredibly moving. As a mom who has watched her own child go through a Chiari journey, her words really hit home for me. There is something so powerful about hearing another mother speak about the fear, the strength, and the love that comes with fighting alongside your child.

And JoJo — what an amazing little superhero and Chiari warrior. 💜🦸‍♂️ Seeing his smile, his energy, and the incredible community surrounding him was so special.

Being around other Chiari families always reminds us that while every story is different, there is such a strong bond between families who understand this journey.

Sydney and I were so grateful to be there today supporting JoJo, Brittany, and their entire Super Squad. 💜

Together, we are stronger. Together, we raise awareness. Together, we fight for every Chiari warrior.

💜 Day 5 of Braids for Chiari 💜

Today’s Chiari Fact:

Chiari Malformation can affect people very differently. Symptoms may include headaches, neck pain, dizziness, balance problems, numbness or tingling, vision changes, swallowing difficulties, and more.

The difficult part is that many of these symptoms are so common that Chiari can sometimes be overlooked or misdiagnosed, which is exactly why awareness and education matter so much. 💜
