Making an Impact Through Opportunity & Service 🔧
For the past 7 years, the Libertyville Sunrise Rotary has proudly partnered with the Lake County Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) to support the next generation of skilled trades professionals.
✅ Over that time, we’ve provided tool bags and backpacks to 181 first-year apprentices
✅ These apprentices now represent 27% of all IBEW Local 150 members working out of Grayslake
This impact goes far beyond supplies. Through this initiative, we’ve had the opportunity to connect with and inspire apprentices, trainers, and union electricians—sharing what Rotary stands for and how we serve:
🌎 Locally
🇺🇸 Nationally
🌍 Around the world
We’re proud to support programs that build strong careers, strengthen our community, and reflect Rotary’s commitment to service above self.

It was truly an honor to welcome Libertyville High School students to our Rotary breakfast on Wednesday morning!
These impressive young leaders are recipients of Libertyville Sunrise Rotary scholarships, and many have also participated in RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) camp—an experience designed to build confidence, strengthen communication, and develop problem-solving skills.
We are so proud to support and celebrate these students as they continue to grow, lead, and make a positive impact in our community. The future is bright! 🌟

This week, Howard Jaffe and Tom Gore, President of Libertyville Sunrise Rotary, had the opportunity to personally thank Second City and its cast for such a fantastic performance. Because of their talent and generosity, we were able to raise funds supporting over 50 local charities, as well as scholarships for Libertyville High School students and other important community initiatives.
This is truly a wonderful partnership, and a great example of the impact that can be made when entertainment and community come together. We are so grateful to Howard Jaffe for helping bring this level of talent to Libertyville year after year.

🎓 Honoring Student Achievement at Libertyville High School 🎓
Members of Libertyville Sunrise Rotary were proud to attend the Senior Department Awards at Libertyville High School, where we had the privilege of presenting $11,000 in scholarships/
The CRC serves as a central hub for recognizing student accomplishments across academics, post‑secondary planning, and various department honors. It is a vital and distinct part of the Student Services Department, helping guide and support students as they prepare for their next steps beyond high school.
We are honored to support the incredible work being done to celebrate achievement and invest in the future of our local students. 💙💛
