Blue Water Folk Society

Blue Water Folk Society The Blue Water Folk Society's mission is to promote traditional and acoustic music in the Thumb of M

Blue Water Folk Society promotes acoustic and traditional music here in the Thumb area of southeast Michigan. We sponsor an Acoustic Coffeehouse Open Mic from October to March in Lexington, Guitars for Kids, co-sponsor 'Singing in the 60s' in Port Sanilac and we throw a one-day, all-day, donation funded festival of acoustic music called Thumbfest on multiple stages throughout the town of Lexington

. Whether you're in the mood for Celtic, blues, bluegrass, gypsy worldbeat, African/Cuban/Haitian, Greek traditional, New Orleans brass, Americana, roots, folk, or a mix of it all -- we've got it at Thumbfest. There are workshops, jams, street parties and more, so bring your instrument, voice, and lawnchair!
