Hey everyone, I hope you’re headed for the October dinner at Camp Cavell today. I’m sad to say I’m going to miss it after all. I need to stay home with Tom. I hope you can take time to share your memories of Jeanie (Lilienthal) who we recently lost. As you look around camp you realize she raised the funds for the kayaks, canoes, Yurt, fishing program, to name a few. And of course, the many many camperships for her beloved Camp Children. Please enjoy the sunset, send a hug for Jeanne to the heavens and give everyone a hug form me.

Celebrate Jeanne Lilienthal's Life: Viewing will be on Friday, (9/13) at Czopek Funeral Home, 2157 Oak St., Wyandotte, MI 48192, from 2:00 - 8:00 pm. Viewing on Saturday will be at St. Patrick's Church, 135 Superior Blvd., Wyandotte, MI. 48192. from (9/14) 9:30 - 10:00 am. Mass will follow at 10:00 am. Cremation to follow. Join us at the funeral luncheon at Crystal Gardens, 16703 Fort St Southgate, MI. 47195

Dear Friends, I want to share with you all that we lost a wonderful camp friend, volunteer, board member, fundraiser, and my best friend, Jeanne Lilienthal, who passed away yesterday in peace. I know she meant so much to so many of you as she did to me. We would love to share with the world all the good her life brought so many of us. I would like to ask all of you who were touched by her life to share a special memory or picture. These memories are her legacy. Also, arrangements for a service are being made for this weekend, and I will send them along. 🧡

What a wonderful idea!

At Enoteca Maria, an “Italian” restaurant on Hyatt Street, half of the menu changes daily. The fixed half is Italian; the rest is left for rotating cuisines from all over the world. And the people calling the shots are not professional chefs; they are grandmothers.

Each night, a “nonna” (Italian for grandmother) from a different country designs a fresh menu, honoring her native cuisine.
